Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. There's is essentially zero information. Oh, sure, we know that the body will decompose after death, but we have no idea what happens to the individual's perspective... if anything happens to it at all.

That leads to two conclusions:

1.) If something happens it is entirely outside of our realm of understanding. Considering we likely understand very little this doesn't mean much.

2.) They are gone from this world in every way that we understand. However, our understanding is limited, as I stated above.

Atheists are just are foolish as theists, and perhaps moreso. The believer consigns his or her fate to faith, accepting it as irrational yet choosing to believe anyway. The atheist chooses not to believe, seeing the absence of evidence as evidence of absence.
