doctors are concerned only because if too many people get sick at once, there will also be a high abdolute number of people, although only a small percentage, who need to be treated in hospital, which would not be doable at worstcase scenarios. so they try to reduce the dynamic of the pandemic by alle the usual measures, most importantly, washing your hands regularly and avoiding all unnecessary social contacts. does this protect you? most likely not. but you wont become ill this weak, but maybe next month, which would already be very helpful.
