the argument made with this diagram is fundamentally wrong.. the entropy and distribution of energy, temperature, pressure would be vastly different if we were actually surrounded by a continuous and massive wall of ice. The southern seas alone would experience temperatures way below those in the arctic and you would think that over time the middle of this 'dome' would be the warmest point, again considering we are surrounded by a wall of ice so big and wide that it contains 8 billion people, we can't seem to climb it?, because it supports some type of celestial glass dome.. i could go on, but flat earthers make my head hurt.

You can clearly see the curvature isn't as curby when i'm sitting on a plane, idk why they do this.
I would assume to put a fish eye lens on a camera when going on high attitudes is to capture more areal, but it's also stupid in the sense you are not getting the real perspective of things.

Not an expert, but ive read that fish eye lenses give the best field of view and that the distortion can help to calculate distance of objects in videos, so I guess its convenient for weather obsrvation

look into just how many times a fisheye lens is used when the horizon is in the backshot, or is the main object of the picture/video. one example is the helicopter footage of supplies being airlifted onto a cruise ship a week or 2 ago.
