having to social distance is a pain, but ive been using it as a chance to get outside. hiking trails that are usually packed are pretty much empty. If your near spots like that id really recommend it

Well, If I remember correctly, they released textures updates and engine updates with the blue shift? They were testing how people would react to different perspective. Back then you didn't have many choices of play styles... but now you do, it's harder and I am sure they don't want a big flop...
The same happened with bioshock, and they went from extremely good (remake) of an old classic to meh... to why?
I think I'm going to try starcraft sometimes soon. I never played it, even though I played a lot of games of that style. But never attracted me that much, since the stories were kinda' lacking.
I won't say I liked Star Wars that much, but I didn't dislike it either. I am quite the sci-fi fan and unfortunately, there aren't as many good sci-fi movies out there. Homeworld is sci-fi with a lot of strategy involved, and a whole lot more trial and error. HW1 was ok enough, but HW2 was hard. And it's nice, it keeps the brain active... it's not mindless online action.
