Bioshock hada good story, but it's a shame they didn't leave any room for everything.
The same happened with StarCraft, which is arguibly one of my most favorite game. The story was spectacular, but they left it without any sort of possibility for an expansion. Which is sad.
I don't think they will do anything HL-related, sadly. It's been years and all we've gotten was the Alyx campaign.

They lost a lot of time. I believe that the Alyx game is just a teaser to see how people will react to new technologies and new concepts. Remember how they had a barney campaign and that marine campaign before the launch of HL2?
I never knew Starcraft had a story... like a real story ... but reading a little about it, remembered me about a game of that same genre that I loved. Homeworld and Homeworld2. Too bad I never got the remasters to work, and I had to play them on that specific era hardware. The story was awesome, and the gameplay difficult.
