Italian here and everything is going into deep shit. The city where i live is blocked and the only stores that are open are super market for food, some hardware shops and pharmacies. Bar, restaurants, pubs hotels ans other tourism related activities and shops and other shops are closing because of the "quarantine". I work as a cook and basically this situation cock-blocked my work and even my colleagues said that we need to wait. I've been rejected from 2 work places for this situation and even my family is waiting for this "quarantine" to end
The worst is happening in the north of Italy because the hospitals and clinics are overworking and people that goes for check ups for the virus are overflowing in the hospitals. For moving to our family members or to simply go to work need an authorization to move from city to city because we had a decree from the italian government to stay at home for preventing the spread of the virus. Who doesn't obey this decree's gonna have a fine and some time in jail. Basically the streets here are empty, even the highways people but hey this isn't the doomsday. If you wanna ask, go on

That's the point. We didn't know. It happend all in a rush of time. It was under control and in a lapse of time (2 days maybe) everything and everyone started to close activities for the decree. All italy is in a quarantine that stays on until the 3rd of april and i don't know if that shit continues.

So could you move from one place to another in your city? Say you were bunking down with your family in another home. You'd be able to drive there without much trouble?

Prepare for a long reply my friend. It isn't death but it's a fine around 200 euros or 3 months of jail. If you certify that you're going to work or if you're moving only for necessities (because we have to sign a paper to certify our movements) and you do the contrary, the jail time rises up to 2 years. If you intentionally spread the virus you get 5 to 7 years of jail and at last a quarantine patient if breaks out quarantine gets something like 20 years

I work as an EMT in Indiana and I've already been exposed twice since I work on a Mobile Intensive Care unit and I can't even get screened by my employer to see if I have it since there isn't a whole lot in Indiana itself. Getting paid just shy of $12/hr to deal with this shit ain't worth it. I love taking care of others, but at what cost to myself and my family?

Basically we can move from city to city if it is for necessary stuff like helping a parent with health problem or going to the grocery store, but that's it. For example if i wanna go to my girlfriend house just like a normal day, i can't. If i wanna go to my uncle house, i can't same story as gym or recently doing a jogging and shit outside, even in parks. The decree is made for people to stay at home to prevent the spreading of the virus. If you don't, you're gonna have troubles.

Listen to the quarentine precautions, prepare accordingly (without buying all the toilet paper in stock, whoever does that needs to really rethink their priorities) , and give some props to your local EMS, fire, and first responders.
