I've got yelled at buy a couple of trans girls for using the word trap. Something to do with the fact that has a negative connotation. Implying that like because they're not a biological woman they're trying to trick you in some way. Different trans groups use different terms. If you go to SEA then nobody will bat an eye at ladyboy and shemale is OK in Brazil. Trap is absolutely fine among the crossdressing men group while post-op/fake tits trans see it as a nasty word like dragqueen because they have gone to greater lengths than just putting on a skirt and calling it a day.

I think there are 3 tiers of trans.
Gay tier, is basically your gays that just like to LARP as women. These are CDs, drag queens, and fembois/twinks/queer men. They like to dress as women on occasion but have no problem living life as a gay man and have no interest in transitioning or using HRT.

Transitioning tier are the trans men that have gender dysphoria and make efforts to live life as a woman, but typically don't have the money or support to transition. These types often get confused with the previous tier and have the most difficult life. These are your typical Yas Forums posters that like to shit up the trans threads and ask if their pics of their pimply ass qualify them as QT traps.

Female tier are the fully transitioned women that have access to HRT and often times get plastic surgery. These people live a comfortable female life, and if they become very successful at transitioning then they will often become social THOTs or even do porn.
