While it's hard getting the real numbers because of the fact that you may have it without knowing and the fact that they stopped giving free tests to anybody long ago (because of a shortage, so now they test you only if you have heavy symptoms), it's still pretty fucking deadly for the elders and still quite a bad sickness if you are younger. That said, the mortality rate is probably a lot lower than shown, again because we stopped testing everyone so there may be tens of thousands infected around that will never show up in the official numbers.

Many reports of otherwise healthy people between 30 and 40 years old requiring intensive care and intubation means this is a serious health risk not to be underestimated.

I live quite close to the placde where we had the first outbreak and people seem to handle it fine for the most part.

Unfortunately, the dumb cunts from the south tried to evade the quarantine the night before it was enforced by ammassing in the thousands to the biggest train station in the region to fuck off back to their shit hole they escaped from. Surprise surprise, now infected are popping up like mushrooms at the south too, with a middle-age-tier health system and a general tendency to avoid restrictions of all kinds. I’ve spent the past few days reading what doctors are saying about the virus in medical journals (literally the MOST accurate sources out there, they share this info to save lives.)

Here’s the summaries:

You fall into either of two groups. What group you fall into is VERY important and DRASTICALLY different than the other.

1. You are above the age of 80. You have asthma. You have an immune disorder. You have diabetes. You have a cardiovascular disease. You are obese.

2. You do not fall into any group in group “1”

If you are in group “2”, most likely you will just have a cough, most people in group 2 (the younger you are, especially) the less you notice. In fact most don’t even know they have it.

Group 1 is currently 15% of the population. If you get it, and you’re in Group 1, you NEED a hospital life support machine to keep you alive.

In Italy, their ENTIRE population all got it at once. So 15% of their entire fucking population all had to go to the hospital at once. Their hospitals can only FIT 2% of the population. They only have enough life support machines for .04% of the population.

We are quarantining ourselves so we SLOWLY get the virus, and the there is only a small amount of Group 1 people with the virus at a time.

Another big issue: a lot of people are in group 1 and don’t even know. Some people have asthma and don’t know, others diabetes, etc.
