Your best bet is one part sodium hydroxide to three parts water. Soak your hands in it, if you don't feel well, drink about 250ml of the mixture and you'll feel better.

Airborne has two meanings here -- colloquial and epidemiological.

Epidemiologically, it is not known to be airborne. It is not known to float around by itself in the air. This is good, as viruses that do that stay in the air column a comparatively long time.

Covid-19 travels through the air in droplets of saliva/mucus, expelled when you sneeze or cough. This is better than being strictly airborne,as droplets settle out of the air column faster than naked viruses.

Unless you are pretty close to the person who spews droplets, you are more or less safe from that.

The problem THEN becomes, the virus in its droplet settles on... stuff toy are going to touch. Table tops, and the like. Also, if the person coughs and gets it on his hands, he will leave it on things he touches, such as doorknobs, shopping carts, knobs on sinks.

That's where hand sanitizer comes in -- you can kill it on surfaces before you touch them using alcohol, lysol, strong concentrations of peroxide of chlorine-based products, provided the concentration of the active ingredient is high, and the exposure time long enough.

But you probably can't sterilize every fucking thing you touch. You will get this, or some other virus, on your hands.

The good news there is, Corona is a "capsule virus." It has it's genetic material in a package made up largely of lipids (aka oils or fats) and soap, regular old soap, along with some agitation, tears that shit to pieces. That's why it matters that you scrub your hands for about 20 seconds -- you need time for the soap molecules to latch onto the lipids in the virus sheath, and then some agitation to physically rip it apart.

If you can't get to soap and water, then use alcohol hand sanitizer or something. But really, soap and water and scrubbing does a fine job.

But don't contaminate your hands again by touching the knobs to shut of the water -- use your paper towel for that. Or leave the fucking water running. Fuck it.

I dont normally use hand sanitizer and use soap and water. Even I buy $5 worth of 3 packs at the dollar store (so 15 2oz bottles) each January and stick on a shelf just in case.
The dollar stores are great for mini-prep cabinets as I could spend $100 a year and be set with just a small amount of everything medical.

nCoV is an encapsulated virus. It's like a hollow ball with an RNA strand inside. The ball itself is made up of protein blocks glued together with lipids. Alcohol is pretty good at dissolving those lipid bonds. Then the virus particle pretty much breaks apart and is inert.
Soap is even better because it has a very high affinity for the hydrogen bonds that allow those protein blocks to stick together. Soap molecules will literally surround those protein blocks and float them away.

The high-alcohol vodkas, at least. 160 proof or above. 120 might work, though not as well. Nothing below that.
