Stupid point. A government can try to use bombs and tanks against their own people (like in china), but it's ineffective if the citizens are armed since it would be a declaration of war on their own people to which are already completely occupying the country. In other words, unless you bomb everyone and destroy the country with drones and nukes, many millions of entrenched armed citizens can overtake it. But if it's only one guy with a shotgun, a drone is overkill -- just arrest him or shoot him in the head. Either way the graphic is exaggerated and wrong.

Guns aren't great for a straight up fight against drones and tanks, but those all need fuel and ammunition to be of any use. Those *are* vulnerable to common firearms. Take the drones, for instance: most of them are flown from air conditioned cargo containers, grouped together in areas protected by little more than a chain link fence. The drones have to land somewhere too, and most of their landing sites are similarly poorly protected. Our domestic military infrastructure is not hardened against attacks from a simple hunting rifle, which sports more power per round than the common 5.56mm NATO round the majority of our infantrymen use.
If it came down to it, there's about 2.2 million members of our military across all branches, including all reserve, support, and logistics personnel. It wouldn't take more than a few % of our population rising up with guns to outnumber them 5 to 1 or more, and that assumes that there's no defection from within our military ranks due to whatever necessitated such an uprising in the first place.
