It's been passed around here a lot in recent weeks of the Coronavirus being the new world killer. And most recently it has been considered a pandemic. The people in my neighborhood are going batshit and stockpiling, my sister tells me in the state of New Mexico that people are buying guns, and my mother has been having a hard time trying to find toilet paper now.
A part of me will admit that I am afraid. Mostly for my mom, dad, brother, and sister. Though, my parents aren't even in their 50's, and they're healthy for what it is. I just don't want them getting sick at all, even myself... I will admit that a part of me has isolated himself to avoid human contact. Not as if it made any real difference before, considering the fact that I was a total shut in. Yet my job and schooling have been impacted, and things in general are disorganized. It' a mess, and I blame only ourselves as people for allowing this situation to progress.
Despite all of this, I don't think I should be afraid. The thing that's making this situation worse is that people are panicking and acting on impulse, rather than logic. Things are bad, but we're making it bad by acting like dumb animals. People believing misinformation they read on social media, pointing blame at one another, the news pushing this virus our faces, and taking into consideration people believing movies and TV shows. All of you should be careful not to get sick, but you shouldn't let people drive you into fear and irrationally. It's not a manner of politics or religion, but one that is decided on our basic instinct to survive the odds. People die everyday, and more people will surely die from the Coronavirus. While I'm a young man without any serious health concerns, if I were to die, then there's just nothing for me to do. The least I can do is isolate myself to avoid getting other people sick, but there's no use in putting up a fight you can't win. It's might not be so bad, leaving this world...

Why? If I get it, I have higher chances of surviving, if I spread it and it affects those of age and obese people (which is a huge factor in boomers) it will kill a lot of them.
