First of all, America isn't a third world nation like Italy.
Secondly, why would poor people spread it more than rich people? It's not like there's some anti-Coronavirus medicine that they can't afford, it's affected by anyone (notice that it kills more old people who have money than young poor people)
BTW, poor people in the US can afford insurance, there's tons of assistance available, and if they're not taking advantage of that then it's more a matter of self-responsibility, which is of course a foreign concept in the EU which is why you didn't think of it.

You just don't see the big picture here. Covid19 is set to be the new reality, just like influenza became a worse version of the common cold, so will this become a worse version of influenza.
Unless a vaccine is made, this isn't going to be something that just goes away. Currently there are only two ways for someone to NOT spread this disease: by being socially isolated or dying. The infection rate is extremely high, so the way things are going it's only a matter of time before everyone gets affected. Just because a relatively healthy person likely wont die doesn't mean it's not a huge concern.. because it will still kill someone. It will still have a huge economic impact, especially when it puts an inevitable strain on your healthcare system.

If I get the disease -- and I'm fairly certain I will -- I'm not afraid that I will die. I know I'll be fine. But you're an idiot if you think this isn't a big deal.
