Adult carpet beetles aren't anything but annoying. But the nasty little larvae which are tiny, very tiny, will feed on your skin oils and any loose hair mostly in your sheets while u sleep. They don't bite but the tiny hairs on them will irritate skin. Usually u will see little itchy red lines on your legs where they have walked across. I had an infestation last summer...
