There are openly gay couples portrayed in a respectful and normal manner. The 2 main characters have a lot of angst between them. For kids, I'd suggest just letting them enjoy it tho. Adults are the ones reading into it. Kids just like the fights and action.

Why I liked Xmen as a kid, fighting and action, I really didn't give a shit who the characters were fucking, not sure why it's such a big deal now. But I guess that can be said about a lot of shows.

One of the main villains is trans, and is probably one of the best villains I’ve ever seen in a show. That fucking scene at the end of season 4 where he corners Catra is 10/10 writing

I'm not sure that character is trans. They could be, bit did you notice how they didnt use opposite pronouns? I was impressed that they represented a nonbinary character in the first place, who used "they" as a pronoun. It's rare to see that.

Well they had to come up with some new plots for He-Man so they brought she-ra in, that way they wouldn't lose their Cash cow He-Man, because the toys were selling like hotcakes I had all of them. I watched that shit when it aired new. looking back I know exactly what happened but I still liked both series a lot it was better than rinse recyce recycled Hanna-Barbera stuff. although I did like the Smurfs and jabberjaw and Thundarr The Barbarian quite a bit
