take the total loss payment and salvage title, buy a light, bumper, fender, all aftermarket. take it to a shop to paint/assemble. you'll come out with a car and money on top of it. that shit dont look bad at all at first glance. lettem rip it apart to see if any of the important bits are fucked and get back to us

source: i used to be a mechanic and i did exactly this, but i did the work myself so it was a free 3k. i had to get a new windshield too but i managed to keep the fender.

Not true. Total loss adjuster here. A TL I typically when the cost of repairs is 75% of the current market value of your vehicle. However an air bag replacement can set you back a bit
