Argued with my gf because we live in a major city that is dirt cheap and just hood. I grew up here and she keeps calling it dirty and violent. Which it is. So she wants to move somewhere else, but where she wants to move is the hood in a smaller city that is more dangerous because the crime is different and she doesn’t understand that. We have blood affiliation and protection in our city because of a friend of mine, but still, she is from a rich town and isn’t comfortable with the city yet i guess. We lived in boston together tbh. We both took it different. Her family is not as close as mine tho. Mine is italian and english and super close. Im from waterbury. Her fathers family is from waterbury too, but they moved out a couple years before she was born. Also her ma is from torrington (not nice but white). but theyre Swedish and Lithuanian And distant. I dont think its a racist thing, but i get how ugly seeing heroin being used, sold, and needles discarded out in public can be. But a dirty, trashy city is what i grew up in. Its hard for me to be in these “clean” cities because those fuckers hate me lol i can fight, drink, and smoke weed openly in my birth city. I cant do that anywhere else. The cops here allow a lot to go by and thats my favorite part. also, i dont wanna starve, but she hates bodega food. Generally she is good with the poor life in the poor city, but i think she is getting sick of it :( especially since we moved back home.
