It is! I'll try not to hyena so quickly.

pretty well, the image hashing pipeline is reliable and i compare an image to a database of 2550 images in less than half a second, i'm currently working on implementing the Yas Forums scraper part and logging all the threads it flags down, i'm gonna let it do that for a couple of days to make sure its working as intended

Great news, congratulations! Say, what do you know about our gastronomic culture? Besides paella, of course. -J

shit ritaman, thanks for joining in
i have to say, you are my favorite out of all the ritaposters
what's up

thanks, that means a lot to me :)

I just came home and had a good day. I'm about to consume my favourite toxin and make later on some chili con carne wraps

Attached: rita_chest.png (338x422, 150.27K)

>I'm about to consume my favourite toxin
the fruit wine?
>make later on some chili con carne wraps
that sounds amazing, glad your day was good

Attached: jasiri on kion -o.jpg (474x344, 22.57K)

yep, some wine. but it's not fruit wine, it's regular grape wine but it has got some fruity note to it

Attached: fox_wine.jpg (758x1000, 152.25K)

ah alright, technically every wine is a "fruit wine"
man i really want wine now, i gotta buy some when i get the chance

Attached: kion and jasiri reflection -o.jpg (1398x964, 53.76K)

>ah alright, technically every wine is a "fruit wine"

you are right, but there is (as far as I know) one exeption:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mead

I really like to drink this stuff, but nowdays it's hard to get a decent one

Hello pals!
How are you today?

i mean, it depends on how you define it, wine is typically used only for fermented grape juice, there's a law about how you can't name other fermented fruit juice "wine", only "fruit wine"
never drank commercial mead but i did make it once, it was pretty good, i'm eventually gonna get gear and supplies to ferment my own beverages and mead is gonna be one of them
here comes dat boy!
i'm alright
what about you squirrelfam

Hi scratte!

I'm doing great, how are you?

also: some time ago you asked about tips for layouting and choosing a scope. what are you up to? do you tinker with electronics in your spare time?

Attached: rita_happy.jpg (370x331, 106.22K)

that sounds awesome! I was also thinking about brewing my own beer or to distill my own spirits.

in germany we have the law for beer. If you have another ingedient other then malt, water and hop, you are not allowed to call it beer anymore.

Attached: rita_drink.jpg (3500x2500, 1.98M)

I am fine. I recently arrived home from work and ate a Caesar salad.

Electrotechnics and electronics represent a small hobby for me. I somehow studied this domain by myself, but I don't have to much practice. So I am thinking to buy some professional tools and go deeper. So far I have a multimeter, soldering station, prototype board and some THT components. It remains to see the financial part, because it's an expensive investment.

My training base is software and I want to enjoy myself with some hardware mini-projects.

I thought a hyena was some nigger that got hired to fuck underage girls in coon county?

sounds good :)

what you will also need is a DC lab supply. you may check:

youtu.be/_HrvuHSywms

I don't own one of these, but for about 70€ they seem ok.
a good power supply is one of the major things, after a mulitmerer and a soldering station.

I modified my breadboard dy fit my needs, you want a picture of it?

Attached: rita_rick.png (840x960, 516.37K)

>breadboard
That would be nice!
Thank you for your advice!

Attached: scratte_caught.gif (380x444, 1.85M)

Yes, I would like a picture of it.

Attached: scratte_cute.jpg (210x240, 10.13K)

an overview of the stuff laying around. the classic breadboard is modified by my by adding a 4th banana socket and adding the two BNC sockets.
because I do analog stuff, this comes handy.

the other two pcbs are regular copper FR4 boards where I milled out the soldering islands

This fucking shit again?

another angle

I also do stuff with tubes, so here some evaluation boards by my design

I'm sorry for no timestamp, but I ran out of post-it

Any beshte content?

Nice things there. It surprises me that you worked with lamps. I don't know anything about lamps. As active components I studied only diodes and transistors.

Attached: scratte_dancing.png (1024x576, 782.04K)

i'm gonna go dine with my extended family, this thread is probably gonna 404 by then, thanks for the lovely chat friends, i'll probably start another thread when i'm back, goodnight if i don't see you today

Attached: smile -o.jpg (557x443, 20.82K)

have a good evening my friend

Attached: rita_clock.png (418x455, 61.63K)

Seya friend!

Attached: scratte_dance.gif (150x150, 501.31K)

>It surprises me that you worked with lamps.

in fact, as a boy my first circuits that worked and didn't go up in smoke were tube circuits.
by now I repair and restore tube gear. also I design own hifi tube amplifiers.

tubes are my love.

how a tube works?

youtu.be/oHjZs0bNwEs

he does a good job in explaining it.

Attached: rita.jpg (621x600, 197.73K)

Jasiri fags annoys the shit outta me, but honestly? I’d definitely rather see you guys here on Yas Forums then the Steven Universe spam that’s been plaguing Yas Forums like cancer, so yeah, nice to see you here for once

thanks for that hones insight

Attached: rita_stand.png (564x700, 140.16K)

a 10W prototype. I designed the whole chassis to enable quick changes in tubes and components

Attached: IMG-20200118-WA0006.jpg (2000x4160, 875.55K)

the other side

Attached: IMG-20200118-WA0008.jpg (2000x4160, 1.08M)

Hey, no problem. The Steven Universe spam has to go, even if that means more Jasiri threads.

That's nice!

In what situations the lamps are used?

Attached: scratte_solo3.jpg (3264x1836, 1.15M)

I got aware of Stevens Universe about three days ago, I wasn't aware that it's that dominant on Yas Forums.

even if you don't like our stuff, see the positive thing about us: we stay in our threads and don't invade others. if there are multiple jasiri threads, all die but one

Attached: rita_butt.jpg (2500x2150, 217.43K)

Can a lamp based configuration be replaced with configuration of diodes and transistors?

Attached: scratte_dance.jpg (1920x1080, 894.28K)

Wheres the spam at?
Haven't seen it
Maybe haven't been on Yas Forums enough lately to notice
Blame the Yas Forums jannies tho
They banned Spinel threads

Attached: 1583303964662.jpg (256x400, 14.25K)

True, true. Thanks for staying in your own threads.

They needed too...Yas Forums is becoming Yas Forums 2.0 with this shit

You're welcome.

Attached: scratte_pointing.jpg (2560x1920, 1.55M)

That's my fucking point
If they let the /generals/ stay up on Yas Forums this wouldn't be a thing

Attached: 1583285264753.jpg (482x700, 100.33K)

I meant the got banned on Yas Forums
Clearly not banned here.

tubes were used before reliable transistors came up. after all, you can see a tube as a J-FET: voltage controlls current.
about mid 50s the first transistors came up but they were no good. about in the 60s the first consumer electronics transistors came up, but they were only good for low frequency and slow switching. in that era you find combined circuits: for fast and high frequency stuff tubes, for slow and low frequency stuff transistors.
in the 70s you got good allround transistors.

nowdays tubes are used for audio applications (a tube amp sounds different to a transistor amp).
musicians like to play their electric guitar trough a tube amp, because the distortion is different.
audiophiles enjoy hifi tube amps because of their "warm" sound.
also tubes are used for high frequency power transmitters (>400MHz). with high power I'm talking about >5kW

Attached: rita_hat.jpg (800x450, 53.53K)

You can't annoy us.

Attached: scratte_dancing.jpg (640x352, 41.44K)

Not trying to
Wouldn't want you to be.

Attached: 1583138877136.jpg (640x960, 64.11K)

sure. just keep in mind:
tube: voltage controls current
BJT: current controls current

a silicone diode has a lower voltage drop than a
tube diode, but a tube diode starts conducting (at extremely low current) just over 0.0V.

A tube is a high voltage, low current device (200-500V, few mA)
A transistor ist a low voltage, high current device.

you can't substitute a tube by a BJT directly, but with some struggle you can

(BJT = Bipolar Junction Transistor)

Attached: rita_argument.png (881x799, 164.13K)

That is a very good explanation. I didn't know that the lamps are still used nowadays, especially in the music domain.

Talking about transistors.
I heard that the miniaturization limit is of 5 nm. At the moment I know that there are 7nm channel width transistors.
From your point of view, how do you feel that this limitation can be overcome?

Attached: scratte_challenge.png (1024x576, 800.65K)

Another splendid explanation. I like the antagonistic characteristics of them.
