Medfags. I've been seen at urgent care twice and this time is worse. It's not scabies, contact dermatits or debeities realted. I'm worried.
Medfags. I've been seen at urgent care twice and this time is worse. It's not scabies...
It'a my elbow btw.
how about go to a dermatologist and be seen by an actual, IRL medfag?
its immensely difficult to diagnose a skin condition based solely on a picture
Have you been tested for HIV?
Elbow again
I already have an appointment scheduled, but if I can get any insight before spending close to $400. i'd appreciate it.
It's not HIV, it's on my elbow and sides.
Dry skin put on some fucking lotion you fucking Mongoloid. It'll hurt like a bitch because it's pretty much a open wound, don't be a bitch.
I have been putting on lotion to no avail.
does it itch?
do you have it on your head under your hair?
does it make skin flakes?
Not on my head at all. Just torso, arms and knees.
insight that you get from Yas Forums will neither help your dermatologist make a diagnosis nor will it make you feel any better because it's probably a bunch of bullshit, see: people telling you it's HIV like retards
go have a drink and go to bed, you worry too much
It does itch they. Since I got the steroid presciption not as much.
Well, i'm super unconfortable and i've seen a few times where people were actually helpful on here. I'm not an idiot. just frustrated.
It's eczema, aka dry skin. Get a better lotion one without shit like coca butter and shit just good old lotion, allow vera lotion works good also. Try getting a calamine lotion to also help.
Looks like herpes zoster
I've done that. Eucerin.
You don't get herpes on the arm asshat.
The implication was that if you're immunocompromised it could be some spreading infection from even the slightest initial scratch, prick or cut. Odds are you'd have probably died to the common cold by now if that were true, but this is Yas Forums and everything has AIDS.
Does it itch? Are they tiny blisters you've been scratching open? Done any yardwork or hiking recently and is there poison oak/ivy/sumac in your region? As the other user mentioned rashes and skin conditions aren't going to get an answer here from a picture. A specialist is your best bet unless you can identify something in your own behavior that may have caused it like the above (poison ___), new clothing detergent and maybe that sleeve was still damp/soapy when you put on a shirt, etc.
G'luck.
Only a dermatologist knows what that is and how to treat it. Urgent Care is a traveling sideshow with hacks who graduated last in med school.
if steroids help it's probably psoriasis.
but could be lots of things.
when did you notice it for the first time?
do you have any other related medical conditions?
age?
weight?
particular job risk/exposure to substances?
drugs?
get checked from a derm. anyway.
Ringworm. Try miconazole.
Best comment I got. I use no scent detergent and soap. I do scratch at it and am getting over a bad athletes foot infection from a week long hike. Maybe that has something to do with it?
Do lotion after a shower, that there is dry skin no matter how you try to spin it. It could also be an allergic but that would look more akin to burn. Sadly there isn't much they can do but give you any itch creams and steroids. You have to hydrate the skin, it won't be instant but your doing something wrong and need to figure it out if you are hydrating and using lotion
>getting over a bad athletes foot infection
See
Quite likely tinnea that has spread then. Dermatologist can confirm and rather than OTC shit they can shoot you up with something to knock it out.
Don't go wanking into your hiking socks. Actually I'd be inclined to trash the socks. Fungi can be pretty fucking resilient as I understand it and you'll be back in the same boat.
Do you smoke weed? Weed gives me bad contact dermatitis if i dont wash my hands and touch my face lol just a thought
I have always used lotion after showers. I shower at least once a day and i'm told thats not good, but this kind of reaction all over my body is crazy. My aprmpot areas are welts rather than bumps.
MedFag, hey there. Just curious, have you looked for evidence of bedbugs?
Im not a doctor.
I'm currently going through the same thing you are but im at the beginning phases of it. The reason I know this is because I've had it before. Ive tried every cream and nothing worked. Doctors said it was either scabies or ring worm. It was the oddest rash. Even the slightest rub would flare it up and it'd look like itchy goose bumps instantly. My arms and legs looked like a damn avacado's skin.
I still dk what it is i had it for like 2 months and it went away. Like 4 days ago i googled around trying to figure out what it was. I believe it to be this "Lichen Planus" but again im no doctor.
it's folliculitis. no question.. relax. get some keflex or cipro and call it a day. you'll be fine
I'm a housekeeping manager and it's not near the look of bed bugs. Bed bug bites look like a mosquito bite with a clear center. Not a rash.
Hi there.
And im an ER nurse and can tell you that bedbug bites can definitely scab over and have a scabies like appearance, and in places with heavy infestation you will see many clumped together bites. Stick to cleaning.
This could make some sense because I also have vitiligo where my immune system attacks my mutated melanin.
Id also like to add i did every bedbug test i could find and couldnt find shit in my situation but it was actually my first thought. I bought a steamer washed all my bedding did the bed bug test things didnt find shit.
I forgot to add when i was at my worst it was arms, legs and stomach. Stomach was the worst because id wake up scratching myself it was so bad.
omfg I seriously just told you what it was and how to treat it. If you are in fl, come to me and i'll fucking write you the script.
Nothing is really scabbed over and its too many bumps within days for it to be bed bugs.
Shingles
Bedbugs like warm moist areas, and they will attack while you sleep. All those areas are popular bite spots. Do you sleep in your bed?
Which post?
>it's folliculitis. no question.. relax. get some keflex or cipro and call it a day. you'll be fine
Shingles is herpes zoster.
To many bumps within days to be bedbugs? You serious right now? And bites don't always come with scabs. Especially if you dont fuck with it.
I do, but I have no evidence of bed bugs. No red marks on my sheets, I have also checked my mattress and the bindings of the mattress. No evidence.
>it's folliculitis. no question.. relax. get some keflex or cipro and call it a day. you'll be fine

Bed bug bites look like mosquitio bites. not a rash.
>I do, but I have no evidence of bed bugs. No red marks on my sheets, I have also checked my mattress and the bindings of the mattress. No evidence.
i'm a dermfag. have been for 14 years, i've seen patients with these exact symptoms at least once a month throughout the entirety of my career. it's folliculitis.
Bedbugs don't even give me a rash or anything. Those fuckers suck. They aren't invisible so if you had bed bugs you'd probably be able to tell. Just check the edges of your mattress. If you're reading this and don't have bed bugs go ahead and buy some Cimexa pronto and treat your mattress and couches. I almost went insane from bedbugs, started sleeping in my bathtub just to get away from them. After 3 failed attempts to get rid of them I finally got success by throwing out all my furniture and using a combination of steaming, cimexa and sprays. I've witnessed a bedbug crawl on the ceiling and try to drop on top of me in the bathtub.
Was it around your belly button?
I would say the images on google can maybe confirm.
Ive literally been fucked up by bed bugs while my fiance had no symptoms and I had wrashs all over. Except you're right, it wasn't a wrash. but I had been bit so much it appeared to be a rash.
So ya just fyi I can tell you hes right that it can look like rash
Depends it belly button wasnt the focal point but it was in the central portion of my stomach. bumps did manage to get inside the belly button but it wasnt worse at the belly button.
Im just now realizing how dumb of a word belly button is.
Some people don't even have physical resistance response to bed bugs. No bites, no welps, nothing. I got fucked up once though and that shit MESSED me up all over. Pretty sure I have psychological damage
Yeah, the psychological aspect of it was the worst. As soon as I figured out I had them I started looking all over the house and realized they were on all the couches too. I was too embarrassed to tell anyone but didn't want anyone to bring them back home with them so I stopped hanging out with anyone, the lack of sleep also caused me to have a short temper. Now that it's all over I've been happier than usual though. Really makes you realize the things you take for granted.
Soak in a bath a couple hours a night that has about 2 cups bleach in a full bath. When I get weird shit like this, I just do this and it always goes away.
Our family got scabies a couple times, and they all did the expensive treatment. I literally just took a few bleach water baths and got over it twice as fast as them lol.
Boy you got that psoriatic plaque psoriasis. You need to get humera up inside yo body so it can work. Mother fuckin' humera gets all deep up in yo shit to work. While taking humera tell yo fuckin' ass doctor if you have signs or symptoms of liver disease or pancreatitis. Also, tell that cock sucker if yo ass likes hittin' that young teen third world strange in places where they's all kinda infection shit.
I've had the same shit for like 10 years man. Think its fungal but my liver is to bad to take any meds
I've inspected all my bedding and vents now too. Havent seen any evidence. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Luckily my hotel i work for maybe gets 1 case a year and I have no dealings with the inspections anymore.
Kill it before it has babies!!!
Should i put some lotrimin on a spot and see what happens?
It could be allergies, dry skin, NOT taking showers with clean water and soap, or other stuff.
Just stop being a fag.
(It's corona virus)
I shower daily. Unscented soap.
Hair follicle infection?
