I wish it were that easy. Every time I've done that the few people who did add me never made any effort to hold a conversation. These are the same guys who complain about girls giving very short uninterested responses yet they do the same thing themselves. I've only had one person who I've added who actually spoke like a normal person, but they killed themselves so can't very well speak to them anymore unfortunately.

I guess the best way i can describe it is i think of it as kind of an addiction. Hes old enough now that I dont think he will ever not be gay but I think he can withdraw from acting on it in the same way an alcoholic can withdraw from alcohol but can very easily fall back into it or how people can recover from porn or sex addictions but really its always under the surface. As a recovered smoker, I more or less always still want a cigarette and I havent smoked for years. Obviously, this isnt exactly the same but its the best analogy I can think of.
Illegal has sort of extreme implications. Homosexuality being illegal, to me, more means behind closed doors and actually a secret. Gays have always, and always will, existed. I dont expect the police or something to go kicking down doors of suspected gays and arresting them.

Its obviously a very far out political opinion today and I dont want to derail this thread about it. I only brought it up as an example of how you dont need to let disagreements, even extreme disagreements, ruin relationships.
