Gatekeeping is a very effective way to protect community's from normapfags. All community's with no gatekeeping get overrun by normalfags and become cringe. Gatekeeping should be encouraged!
For example, in pic related a hobby was started and ended up getting invaded and destroyed by normalfags. This wouldn't happen if the 1st groups of friends were gatekeepers and forced the 1st guy to prove himself and become a gatekeeper.
In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with gatekeeping and if you disagree you are a normalfag redditer.
