Men and women aren't two independent groups of organisms, they're a single group of organisms split into two halves. Thinking of people as individuals, when both sexes are involved, is a mistake. Men and women are products of each other and can't procreate without eachother. It's more accurate to say we're each half a couple.

Women are allowed to not be violent, then, as it's men who have been assigned that responsibility - for both their sakes. Men are like weapons or tools in that regard. And I think that's a fitting comparison, because men not only destroy things, they also make things. Like almost everything.
