Could a brainlet understand and enjoy the plot of this game?
I have heard it is extremely good but I don't want to purchase it and not understand the story.

The plot is good but it's not some insane mind twister you need 140iq to understand. Just pirate it if you don't have a lot of money, it's a great game with high replayability.
I agree with you. The only mind fuck plot twister game like F:NV is Shadow of Chernobyl false endings
Its great just get it
I actually like 3 better.
I got it with all DLCs for steam from a grey market for like 4 bucks, no reason not to buy it.
i tried playing fallout 3 and new vegas and i just fucking hated them both. gameplay felt like shit and i wasn't interested in the stories at all
>I actually like 3 better
RETARD ALERT RETARD ALERT RETARD ALERT RETARD ALERT
no video games require being smart to understand. not yet anyways. they mostly tug on emotional strings
>No videogames require being smart to understand
Black ops 2 flashbacks and whatnot was a bit confusing.
Also you may not need to be smart, but certainly need average intelligence to understand a lot of games. Which a retard brainlet probably doesn't have.
fair enough but i assume anyone who is able to use the internet and chan and post and get used to board culture is retarded in one way but not enough to be unable to understand video games and mainstream media in general
I don't know what the standard gameplay experience was at the time of release but what I do know is that NV fails the test of time. If you put the gameplay over the story then don't bother.
Its a meme game. Not any better than FO3, it just has more autism. It's basically fanfic of classic fallout games. The only good thing about it is that it has a "larger" more detailed world with more fleshed out characters but that's about it. Most of the factions are uninteresting and comical not in a good way, like the greaser gang, powder gangers, and caesar's legion. It feels like a highschooler wrote this game.
The lonesome road dlc and ulysses dialogue is the only moment where you actually have to think a little to understand whats being said but other than that, the games basically about nothing more than a bunch of factions at war whilst you the braindamaged courier do whatever you want and side with whoever you want. The companions are nice too, i like walking through the desert with a cyborg dog and an ex sniper who killed his own wife and child
>las vegas casino survives the apocalypse
>large dam survives the apocalypse
>ncr and legion: hmmm large dam can power casino, lets fight over them
>mr. house: no u cant have casino
>ncr and legion: k but we'll still fight over dam
>theres a poker chip that has tech to create op robots
>benny: cool ima find it
>mr house: no its mine
>benny: fuk u
>benny: if i find it ill kill u and use it to control vegas and the whole desert
>you: (walks to mr. house to deliver chip)
>benny: no its mine i kill u *bang*
It's not that complicated dude. Just a good game, and it's probably not that expensive anymore. Give it a shot.
>The lonesome road dlc and ulysses dialogue is the only moment where you actually have to think a little to understand whats being said
I'd say that most people probably miss out on what's going on with the story and themes in Dead Money if you don't actually think about it.
Not talking about the gold bars
Good story that's pretty interesting, but is bogged down by dated gameplay and graphics. If you like the other fallout games, then go nuts. Mind you that this is coming from someone who has only ever played one other fallout game besides this one
Did you just spoil the game
New Vegas doesn't have a very complex plot. It's literally just power struggle between factions and that's about it. Not really a game you play for the story it's more about the fun combat, exploration, quests, and customization
Did you play 3 growing up or once you were older after playing new vegas?
>fallout combat
>fun
pick one
Yeah Elijah is an actually interesting character but kind of lacks depth in my opinion. Meeting veronicas ex was also interesting, would be nice if you could've told her about it. I also wanna know what happened to dog. Overall its a really cool dlc with interesting characters. I also like how greed from both prewar and now in the players case is being criticized in terminal notes and dialogue.
Fucking this.
I cant think of a single vidya plot that a legit retard couldnt understand, even less so for a AAA game.
eye divine cybermancy is one
Adulthood is realizing 3 flows better on very hard in terms of rpg gameplay, managing weapon durability ammo and stimpak is difficult as opposed to new vegas where is gives out way too much money and makes weapon durability into a non issue with jury rigger
Overall the theme of not being able to let go of your past/obsessions is kinda cool and works for all the characters.
Elijah being obssesed with the old technology, Christine chasing Elijah, Sinclair's crazy love over Vera, even Vera not being able to get over her drug addiction etc.
Huh, never really thought much about vera and her past, but it actually does make a lot of sense now how everything is tied together by unhealthy obsessions. Dog is another good example, he's always searching for a master to take control over him and his gluttony forces him to become a deranged beast unless he regularly feeds on the corpses of the ghosts or other things.
Played both of them growing up, but I did play New Vegas first.
A little, but theres nothing much to the main story anyway. its pretty convoluted.
Been meaning to play for ages. Huge brainlet here and I could handle fallout 3 and 4 which is saying something because I'm too add for anything other than black ops
probably my favorite game. But the graphics are really dated. the bugs and glitches killed it too.
but i loved just wandering the desert with cowboy repeater hunting whatever. Also, if play it. go straight to the casino to get all the gold, to pay for weapon repairs and not have to think about money
