Be me

>Daddy, daddy! You really need to get me tampons!
>Daughter you are 6.. it will be some time before you .. need those. Why do you want them? Do you even know what they are for?
>Noooo. But the advertisement lady said I can ride, swim, win fencing matches and yet feel safe while wearing them!

I felt very reminded of that one while reading your post.

Beats having skin cancer.

you are a based person and i am informing you of this fact

>Do you even know what's in it? You don't, do you?
physical-filter sunscreen contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which are literally just minerals
chemical-filter sunscreen varies based on the country (better filters are available in the EU and asia but aren't FDA approved) but all of the chemicals have been tested and are proven safe as long as you don't consume them orally

anyone hating on sunscreen is a drooling moron. it's the only way to prevent skin cancer and aging from UV radiation.

If you were a scientist, you would know what utter horseshit we spew on a daily basis and call it "research". If you don't trust it, don't use it. If you do trust it, ask yourself WHY? Please consider all the evidence, and not just what you are inclined to believe from the media and propaganda (no matter how subtle). From base principles, ask yourself some questions. Start with: "Why do I believe that sunscreen is good?" and "Who told me sunscreen is good?" and then, "Why should I trust them?" Answering these questions, then asking yourself further questions, and mistrusting every source, is the only way to break the pre-assumed mindset that skin"care" = good.
