It can be difficult to motivate yourself to do it but just think of the reason why you do it. Thinking about the result might motivate you more. I dont think selfharm is good or bad and there is no line to draw for when it would be bad.
People can influence others but they cant decide for them, at the end of the day the person doing the self harm is the one actively doing it, they would be the ones making that conscious decision.
