But other than that I dislike how he wants to deprive me of my healthcare, raise my taxes and turn this country into a socialist shithole. Like all socialists, he lies about his beliefs. The most egregious one is whenever he defends Bernie's healthcare plan he says that it would cost 30 trillion dollars over ten years, whereas the current plan costs 32 trillion dollars over ten years so it'd be cheaper. However, the study in question specifically states that it would cost 30 trillion dollars in *additional* funding, not in total funding.

I probably wouldn't mind if the fire department was privatised. As for the police department, the constitution gives the state a monopoly on the use of force so long as it doesn't go beyond its enumerated powers. Both could and probably should be devolved to the states entirely.

But neither of them are about seizing at least 20% of the US economy and mandating it into public ownership. That's a communist grab of 1/5th of all private commerce in the country. That is not comparable to public police or fire fighters, firstly because nothing was seized without compensation to form the police or the firefighters and secondly because the sheer scale is magnitudes upon magnitudes higher.
