>As a vegan whats your opinion on abortion?
>I find that alot of vegans ive talked to tend to be pro abortion which seems strange to me
im op and im pro life. i also find it so fkn absurd that so many vegans are pro-abortion. to me it makes no sense
a good argument i heard recently is "well-being and future potential well-being of sentient creatures" is what is to value
so for example, when you are sleeping, you are not experiencing well-being as you are not conscious, but you will be conscious when you wake up. so future well-being is important too
same as people in a coma. they cant experience well-being, but in the future they might, so they have moral value
same as a recently fertilized human egg. in the future it will develop into a human, which is capable of experiencing well being, so by these standards it has moral significance
>if you are pro abortion then why not eat eggs, eggs bought in a store arent even fertilized
even if you are pro-abortion, you can make the argument that eggs support slavery, genetic manipulation/ eugenics and exploitation of the chicken, which most vegans are against
but im against abortion. its not the females body, its the child's body

imo, dr avi made some good points in the discussion
its kinda a grey area if you know the child is going to be retarded or have some major disfigurement, but if someone argues for pro-life regardless if its a retarded child, i have no arguments to present against that
