the 10 commandments
i still struggle butmy morals don't stray too far from this
>Are you more of an egoist, or a altruist?
that kind of like saying "well are you a vegan or a murderer?"
>small christian town
>go to church from 0 to 8 years
>find bible with my name on it from grandpa at age 13
>read it cover to cover
>be goodboy for a year
>even ask dad to take me to church again
>think its bullshit
>never read philosophy
>no longer have any virtues to live by
>develop DPDR out of my own thoughts on existence
Stoicism, cynicism and marxism are the main ones that I TRY to live by.
Might I suggest you find your own values to live by rather than get them from ancient jewish myths used to explain nature when science was too primitive?
>don't do bad
The 10 commandments are a bit elementary, don't you think?
absurdism ftw
I'm asking what side do lean more towards
>vegan or murderer
Are you the fag that keeps posting vegan threads on a board meant for lonely virgins?
Whatever the duck Freud was that nigga spat nothing but facts
>how to dumb down a multi-cultural/generational phenomenon 101
I'm not sure. I dont know that much about philosophy. As far as virtues go, I have a reputation for being very honest. If I say something I mean it, and I'm not going to do anything I know is wrong. Other than that, havent really had a chance to develop any virtues, but I think thats a pretty good one.
Fuck Sartre
>Not following the man that literally caused Karl Marx to have an autistic breakdown, causing him to write a 500 page essay raging on your ideas.
You are nothing more than a spook.
>My myths have lasted a long time, therefore that gives them validity.
Guess hinduism is more valid, since it's been around longer.
Is there ever a time where you can personally justify lying? Maybe in a situation where you feel lying would be morally right?
Nihilistic hedonism. None of this matters, so I try to enjoy it while I'm here.
Yes, if its a white lie or if I am under duress. There are plenty of situations where I would lie, and I dont think that makes me dishonest.
Personal ideology? Total egoism. I just want to get what I want, simple as. Not too sure about stirner egoism but the first half of his book about the decay of the concept of "freedom to DO everything" into "freedom FROM everything" was a really thoughtful analysis of the current state of our society.
The person I think got the closest to understanding human nature however is probably Freud. Lots of people don't like his reduction of humanity to simple sexual roles and instincts but it just makes so much sense based on everything I've ever experienced.
I mean more serious situations.
Then no, probably not.
>caused Karl Marx to have an autistic breakdown, causing him to write a 500 page essay raging on your ideas.

Upanishads was written in 9th century. The oldest book in the book was written and composed 12th CENTURY to 9th century.
the biggest journey a man can undertake is that of introspection, self-discovery, and overcoming the obstacles set by his own mind. finding/determining your own purpose, what you value, what makes you feel fulfilled rather than happy or temporarily satisfied, and where you belong is the key to life. Once you know these things you can start to truly live. although others can provide support, no other person will be able to "complete" you, only you have the power to do that. while living this life, be nice and respectful to everyone unless they've done something that deserves being treated otherwise. find a healthy balance in everything, from ideas to lifestyle choices. be idealistic but realistic. be strong but sympathetic. try to improve yourself a little bit each day. always be humble, and appreciate the good things in the world, like beautiful art and music or loyal friends, while being able to criticize things constructively, including yourself.
>not following the man who caused the entire global jewish community and their friends to have a 100+ year (ongoing) autistic breakdown
left leaning egoist
>What are robots' favorite philosophies?
The will to power. Not the kike-ized poz version.
Based.
I use the 10 commandments as a basic guideline, and I basically try to stick to the moralistic approach on life. keeps me from going insane
also a cynic. dont believe things easily, but I do file it with a pinch of salt
Absurdism is the ultimate philosophy
