>computer gets hacked
>gets lots of emails from places I have accounts from about logins
This is the worst thing that could happen to someone like me. I guess this is how getting raped feels like
Computer gets hacked
That's what you get for using the same password for every account
Happened to me a while back but it was all just video game related shit I couldn't give a fuck about. Changed important passwords and let them do as they please with my old accounts.
How did your computer get hacked? I think it's time for a new email desu. I get some spoof emails when my email was hacked and it gives me really bad anxiety and will ruin my whole day.
I'd say go through your emails and check what accounts you have registered. Write it down and either choose to close it down or change the email address of those accounts. Nothing will change how you feel unless you write down a plan of action but I really do know how you are feeling
Almost all of them uses different passwords. Other than the sites that forces you to sign up for some reason.
I guess the main reason for the hijacking was my steam stuff. Steam guard saved my ass
It was either from Adobe flash or zoom (I guess). Found my pc doing stuff really fast by itself (checking steam inventory, store pages, file and task manager open in the background) I don't remember the most details because I was panicking. I force closed the pc the moment I came to senses.
But I failed. I was so panicked I just closed the screen and he did whatever he wanted. I shut down the router and wake up the pc to see steam, Firefox and task manager left open. With lots of processes about Remote control and CTF (I guess?)
I changed everything I could think about and gotten emails about unusual logins.
The problem is my family had important images in that pc and /g/ isn't sure about how can I get them back without risks.
I'll probably listen to them and use Linux
Dont you have any anti virus/malware?
I use Malwarebytes but it couldn't find anything
You should ask on what to do on a tech related forum honestly. It sucks it happens but you can solve it
Got any recommendations? /g/ made me think that there's nothing I could do other than reinstalling and Reddit didn't cared
I was thinking reddit too but I dont know how long it takes for a thread (whatever they call it) to get good responses. Maybe wait a bit for it to get replies. Linus tech tips forums?
