Blind sister blog

Blind sister blog.

I decided to give my sister a hoodie to wear. It made her happy, she said that it's really warm. Apparently she's been cold. I'm just glad to see her smile. My mom also decided to try making her some new eye covers since she got back into sewing to make masks. She had a really cute flower eye mask on today.

There's got to be social services for the blind where they can meet up and become friends where you are right? There would be in all developed countries anyway.

Please protect your sister user, It sounds like you really care about her, I envy you

She has the opportunity to socialize but she hasn't ever done well with it. Being blind really did a number on her confidence, she has a lot of anxiety issues.

So why is she blind? Your posts seem to imply that she used to be able to see. Is she ok?

Wait. Was she born blind or become blind?

She was only four when she lost her sight but obviously that kind of thing will haunt you forever. She was in an accident with cleaning supplies. Either something became pressurized or it was an aerosol but all I know is that she got into something and being a clueless and curious toddler doused her eyes. Some chemicals react with eyes and essentially liquify them. That's what happened to her. Her left eye is gone and her right eye is heavily damaged and doesn't function.

Damn. Just, damn.
I want to hug her

What in the unholy fuck are eye covers?

Just a mask for eyes. Like those sleeping masks. We don't really like that she wants to wear them but they make her more comfortable with presenting herself. We'd rather she let us put her fake eye in and show her face but she doesn't really feel comfortable. She would rather hide her face.

Well she's been very happy recently because everyone has been home to keep her company. She gets lots of hugs.

I see. That's very sad

Damn. Does her face look normal? I mean around her eyes. Be good big bro.

Honestly it's not easy to talk about. It's not too bad to explain it here.

Yeah but she doesn't know that. We try to encourage her but it's hard to convince her of some things. A lot of stuff gets carved in stone in your mins.

I'll wife your sister and make her happy user

How old is your sister? Origgg

18, her birthday is in May though.

I am fucking annoyed I responded genuinely to the other thread for this to become a blog
fuck you op cant you do nice things and not tell the whole fucking world
or you know, start an actual fucking blog

I'm glad she's happy. How old is she now?

Sorry I'm just enjoying sharing my experiences with her. I guess I like talking about her.

18

I will gladly submit my resume to marry your sister, I would love to take care of her and make her happy, I would even move to wherever you are located so that she can still be close to family

dont be, keep at it

I was planning to post BBC on this thread with some tasteless comments about your sister, but this is one of the good threads om r9k and it's genuinely wholesome. Best wishes to your sister, and I hope she's happy.

I'd fuck your sister's eye socket

How does the eye mask look. Just a sleeping mask with crudely drawn eyes on them?

I'm glad you changed your mind.

The one she had on today was a simple cut out of that portion of her face in a floral pattern. Usually they're just solid colors but my mom is trying to have some fun with it. My sister obviously can't see it but she likes it if we help her look nice. It makes her feel more comfortable with herself.

you're a good big brother user
think your sister would enjoy crochet/knitting at all? she could make warm/pretty things for herself, and the patterns are based around intricate stitches rather than colors so she would be able to enjoy them

Is crochet something you can do without seeing? I know that there are things you can do to some extent because you can feel you way through it but I think it would be a little too difficult to learn unless I don't know enough about it. I don't know nearly anything about it.

I think so? Crochet is much much easier than knitting, you just start with a slip knot and if she can read braille I'm sure that with practice she would be able to differentiate between stitches and count them. She would need help learning new stitches since most of the diagrams are pictures afaik, so you'd have to help her with that, but once she's got started choosing different yarn textures and crochet needle thicknesses and things would probably be fun for her and give her an excuse to go out.

just did a search and there are braille resources. learning "chaining" and the "slip stitch" is simple though, p sure it would be easy to teach just by feel

Hey man, keep up these little blogs of your sis. It's some heartwarming stuff.
