This isnt the guy you responded to but the problem with the virus is logistics. Hospitals are only intended to treat an expected, albeit flexible number of people at a time. When an additional couple thousand people end up in care at a hospital that werent expected it fucks everything.

What do you not understand about this? The shutdown slowed the spread and now we are only going to see about as many deaths as the flu. So even with a shutdown, it's going to kill about as many people as the flu.
