>It is spelled hikki actually

How many times do i have to say it? the Japanese verb hiku has only one k, and hiku is the Japanese word for pull and hikikomori means to pull inward or (Acute Social Withdrawal)

Except the Japanese shorten it to hikki not hiki

To elaborate it's spelled with a small "tsu" which in this case is "kk" in English

How do other neets deal with the crippling loneliness?

Hi-ki-ko-mo-ri not hi-kki-ko-mo-ri and yes the Japanese shorten it to hikki but in English its actually spelled Hicky Hiki or Hikky Hikki is how you pronounce the word hiki but its still not how you properly spell it spend some time on 5ch and you will understand what im talking about.

If you're transliterating it using Hepburn it's spelled hikki why would it suddenly be different for this one word? There's clear rules to transliterating japanese

Someone save me, want to be hikikomori again. This wageslave life is too much.

having money sure must suck
