I've had really bad allergies forever and my nose is content full of mucus and shit so I just breath out of my mouth. Whenever I'm out I breath through my nose but anytime I'm alone or asleep I'm a mouthbreather.

I was a mouth breather until around 6th grade when my therapist made me keep a "are you breathing through your mouth" ring to remind me whenever I saw it. I had deliberately learn the habit to breath through my nose. Apparently this was supposed to cure my anxiety. It did not help my anxiety at all. It went away when I finally stopped taking those ADHD meds in high school junior year. Pediatric psychiatry, everybody!
But on the plus side I'm a nose breather now.

I used to mouthbreathe when I was younger because my nose gets full of mucus a lot for whatever reason and that was easier.
I breathe through my nose now but it means I have to spit up phlegm every morning.

Its a load of crap. I've had problems with my nose being full due to allergies for the past two decades.
When at home I breathe through my mouth of nose (when my sinuses are clear); however in public 98% of the time I breath through my nose (even if its full). And I have the most desirable European facial structure ever.
