i think this right here is the largest problem with being kind. everyone has their own definition of what kindness is and if you don't fit their own personal standards for it, you turn into some type of creepy fake manipulator or something. this is why being kind is basically a waste of time. you see this shit all the time with the 'nice guy' thing. everyone starts trying to dissect what being nice and kind actually means and it becomes a huge debate, it happens every fucking time, everyone wants to put their own spin on what nice and kind behaviors actually are. it's just fucking stupid. an asshole is just an asshole, there isn't much debate about it, it's simple and to the point. kindness has too many layers and complexities and i think that is the main reason women get freaked out by it, it overloads their brains with possibilities.

I kinda meant Chad. Like a Chad who is kind won't be seen as a nice guy. But a neckbeard who is kind would be.

Just treat people like you would treat yourself. If you would be an asshole to yourself for doing something they did, then be an asshole to them.

Excessive empathy that isn't tempered by reason leads one to throw pearls before swine. Excessive self criticism leads one to be a neurotic mess.

But the ideal isn't to go to the other extreme and become a narcissist. Narcissism doesn't allow for self critique and naturally develops towards a solipsistic perception of reality. A narcissist erects a false reality to shield his own ego and lives far from reality in a labyrinth of lies. A person that is capable of self criticism and reflection can realize his own mistakes and change his behavior, a narcissist struggles to do so.

Consider Chris Chan. Chris Chan has a myriad of problems. But the problem that keeps him in his perpetual loop is his narcissism. He is unable to grow, unable to change.

Overthinking things is yet again the problem. Girls try to analyse everything you say and do. That's often why they take time to reply. They should just stop. It's easier for everyone.

My philosophy that forcing and conditioning yourself to be impulsive and think less is the best thing most of us can do seems to be ringing true a lot lately.

There's a difference between kindness and being a pushover. I'm very kind, but know exactly when people are taking advantage of that. Helping people out is something I love, so I'm used to it by now. Most people are shit and will take advantage of you if you don't stop them.

The thing that I've found harder to keep a lid on is the post mortem of every situation. Trying to second guess how people took what I said or did and driving myself nuts worrying that I've made a bad impression.

Came to realise that people forget most of the shit other people say and do anyway because we're all pretty self-absorbed at heart. It's not worth it.

Being kind is useful. It's good to get the right people on your side. You don't have to be kind to everyone though.
