Most of the time, she's pretty hard to deter, but if she get's struck where it really hurts (like her piloting, for example), it really messes with her.

If it's a single sentence we're talking about, I'd tell her that most things get worse before they get better around the time she falls into her depression. It's indescribable how much it hurts me to see her like that, and with no way to comfort her or make sure she's ok.

While that's not explicitly "listen to each-other and learn form each-other", it's heavily implied.

Chara is roughly as resilient to negative situations as the average person, and tends to respond by being aware of her situation and having a determination to do what needs to be done to most efficiently get through it. She does feel a little anxiety sometimes though.
I'm an order of magnitude more resilient than her or an average person, on account of having to do a LOT of it, which thankfully Chara has not inherited from me. My reaction is always hostility and anger, feelings I am very much comfortable with, because I've spent many years getting used to them.
Though, hopefully, I won't need to use that mindset again.
