Well?

Well?

One for me, but sometimes I think in monochrome

Attached: 1585967291607.jpg (750x864, 98.46K)

When I quickly think about an object a 3. But if I take the time about 1 min or 2 its number 1

I can make a very realistic apple if I think for a second. I think it's 1 all the time but I'm talking about a 0 right now.

I'm a 1

But how long can other people hold the image for? I can only hold a still image for an instant. I can hold moving images for slightly longer

I kinda imagine images like you see in a surreal painting. Never thought of it desu so thanks for this thread.

5. You guys can actually imagine shit?

not everybody has aphantasia.
You at least have an inner monologue right? you can hear yourself think?

Less than a minute before it turns to mush. Though as long as it's moving, I have problem with keeping it at a 1. I regularly day dream before falling asleep anyway

Not him but i've always thought it was weird and inefficient to have actual inner monologue. When i think or try to solve a problem in my head i just solve it, i dont have any inner monologue unless i force it.

>You at least have an inner monologue right? you can hear yourself think?
It's a voice without sound, but yes.
And I can trace a line/shape without seeing it.
5 or 4.9 where can trace that outline with a line but not see it or the whole shape at once.

Attached: lucid-dream.jpg (1920x1200, 613.89K)

No not really, I don't actually have an inner voice that I 'hear', it's just the 'voice' of my thoughts. There's no real auditory element to it though.

same, do people actually see an image when they close their eyes? when i do that all i see is black no matter what

Indefinite.
I can imagine anything with the apple. Must be the autism.

>Problem
No problem (origin@l)

Come on bro, it's just like dreaming but awake. Ever daydream?

This is retarded.
I picture a golden apple so maybe I'm retarded.
But the first one my eyes are directed to is 2 because it is the most vivid image on the post.
Everything is retarded.

When I imagine shit it's mostly like 1 or 2 but not like a perfect image. I'm not really sure the best way to explain, but it's like if you took a video and put just a black image between every frame giving it like this sorta see through image almost. Honestly I assume most people imagine things the same way it's just that it's really hard to explain what the experience is really like so everyone describes it differently

Attached: 13d27ac76dc237506e0e8829fe4d8ac2.jpg (680x821, 52.57K)

I'd describe it as a slight blur to whatever I think

closing my eyes doesn't make a difference. I can imagine what I would see but I can't actually see it.

When I'm high I can sometimes see images with my eyes closed

No, obviously not because I can't you fucking dick.

1, I imagined a perfect plump green apple sitting in a fruit bowl next to a bunch of other less rendered fruit. Ive always had a pretty good visualization skill.
Too bad it's almost completely useless outside of art.

I tried to think of an apple but ended up thinking of the chart and now I don't know where I belong on the chart

What the fuck dude? Why is mine all grey?

I really don't know. I think it's on mute until I choose to notice it.

1 for me. I see an apple on a cutting board.

Only other way I can think of it is like sonar? Where you can sorta make the outline of the thing?
I'm not sure. When I close my eye all I see in the inside of my eyelid but yet my mind is still visualizing, but it's not like I can actually see it. I guess like a dream, but on a weaker level or something

I don't believe that there are people who cannot picture things in their head. This has to be some shit that people made up to seem quirky like ADHD or AIDS.

yeah, but not if my eyes are closed. i can imagine things no problem if i keep my eyes open and just zone out

I don't believe people actually do see things in their heads. That's ridiculous that you can override your sensory organs with random bullshit that doesn't even exist.

I think I can actually visualize these things better with my eyes open. I would have to be touching the thing and closing my eyes for me to be able to visualize it better. Case in point: I can actually type short comments and whatnot better when my eyes are closed.

This. I always thought imagination was a metaphor or a joke about kids that are bored and making shit up.

>making shit up
Isn't that what imagination is by definition?

Anyone else only able to "visualize" things when their eyes are open? I'm a 1 when I have my eyes open, but get nothing when they're closed. There's a sort of perception of the object's presence, but not in a way that mimics sight or any other sense.
Things like this bother me because there's no real way to know how other people's mental experience works.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but apparently people see and hear things like a schizophrenic.

Both, but I prefer eyes closed for whatever reason

When you think of people you know, and imagine them talking, can you hear their voice? If you want to, can you play music in your mind?

I can imagine pretty clear images.
Autism is a gift after all.
But like, can people who's limit is 5 not hallucinate either?

I am pretty sure nobody sane is anything other than a 5. Unless you are saying that your imagination is literally intruding into your visual field, that would be a hallucination. Imagination is not seeing, its something different that cannot be described. It certainly does not appear in ones visual field.

1, feels good to not be an autistic NPC

BULLSHIT. You guys only exist in my mind and die when I close Yas Forums. Nice try though.

Can anyone "see" music? As in your head. No one seems to understand me with this so I hope someone here does.

I'm pretty sure the NT's are the NPC's. Not all of them obviously.

I'm the same way, I feel as though it would be very time consuming and inefficient to narrate everything in my life. I translate my thoughts into words when I go to speak, I don't construct my thoughts using words really.
I can if I want to
I slightly agree with reservations. When I think of an apple I can picture it in my mind if I try to do so, but I moreso just understand the concept of an "apple" without a very specific visual image, or word attached to it in my mind.

In one second I saw every apple Ive ever had, remembered the sweet sometimes sour taste and the feel of your bite crunching, also a couple of crazy looking psychedelic ones.
T. painfuly sober

I see 1 but it's spinning and I'm fixated mostly at it's bottom.
Must be my ADHD and anal fetish

I think the people who're saying they can't see anything are confused. You're pretty much just recalling a memory.

do i have schizophrenia if i have vivid, frequent day dreams?

Haha that'd be silly, if those two had a correlation. Haha, right?

You don't see it with your eyes. Seeing black is normal but the image of the apple should just "form" inside your head.

You are an NPC if you are 3-5

Attached: 1536961868763.jpg (490x586, 18.12K)

Are there really people who can't think in 1?

I can see everything pretty clearly if I try imagining it by using my memory. Stop fucking larping idiots Im sure you can see it too if you just tried

Attached: 1575422713445.jpg (852x960, 288.03K)

is this entire thread a troll? can people seriously not picture things in their head? I can see any color of apple whenever I want, I can hold it in my hand and bite into it, seeing the inside of the apple. Have I been taking this for granted?

You have the mind of an autist

If you say anything other than 1 then you're a subhuman

>I can hold it in my hand and bite into it
That's more than most people can do

When I try to inagine an apple, I see a fat ass

Its a definite 5 for me, I thought everyone was like this what the fuck

This shit's interesting. Anything else like this? Something not everybody can do but not necessarily realize the fact until it's pointed out?

So just to be sure, you're just supposed to be able to imagine the apple right? You're not expected to actually see an apple in the darkness of your closed eyes right? I'm a 1 but it's not like I actually see an apple in my closed eyes.

I can imagine the iTunes visualizer thing or imagine the scrolling sheet music or imagine the synthesia piano keyboards or imagine osu or imagine dancing krakens or imagine rain falling hard on asphalt or imagine splotches of color or imagine onion-like layers of alternating pressure in the air. But music itself isn't something you can see, so no, I can't see music just like how I can't see a taste.

I'm sure you just need to be able to imagine it. Doesn't matter how you do it

>You're not expected to actually see an apple in the darkness of your closed eyes right
That's literally what imagining something is like user

1
So npcs are real?

That's exactly what I mean! I think visualizing is a better word for it. Is it something you automatically do or do you need to concentrate on it? For me it's always on the background when hearing music. Sometimes it even helps me to form my thoughts if that makes any sense. I'm happy someone has the same.

Attached: TenshinoTamago.jpg (852x480, 61.18K)

you are just saying 1 so you can feel quirky

No, I find it frivolous to do so I don't do it unless I'm bored and listening to the music by itself instead of multitasking.

wtf can people not imagine an item?

i can see the whole thing and rotate it like an item viewer in resident evil or silent hill.

i can also envision subtitles at conversation speeds, complete with punctuation and action brackets.
