military gang here
still get to work 10-12 hours a day even though I'm locked on base
Take care, lad. We're really finding out who's important and who isn't, problem is that remote workers are now extra smug in their superiority of being essential but getting to do so from home.
>9.44 an hour
LOL if you're lucky
Yup sadly I am cucked to being an essential worker at amazon. Threw up a lot today and told I had to be sent home without pay and don't qualify for healthcare benefits or sick leave yet.
Seriously considering quitting and applying for unemployment, would they accept it? I am in Indiana..
Unemployment isn't going to be able to pay-out to everybody.
The requests doubled this week up to 6,600,000.
>Seriously considering quitting and applying for unemployment, would they accept it? I am in Indiana..
this is what I'm wondering too. It says in the bill
>applies to those who quit their job as a direct result of COVID-19
does that mean it only applies if you got sick and quit or you quit because you didn't want to get sick?
>Unemployment isn't going to be able to pay-out to everybody.
why not? just add more money or something. if they do it for banks and the stock market then they can do it for unemployment
Money is only printed for important people, sorry
I deliver expensive pizza to an upper-middle class city with a high amount of corona infections (growing, of course). I don't see how cinnamon sticks and $20 pizzas are essential. Thinking of going AWOL and entering NEETdom for a little while.
It's funny, though, as so many "non-essentials" get unemployment as they stay home. I won't get that if I quit or say I'm sick. I'm not even that worried about getting coronavirus, but giving it to my dad (who I live with due to being broke) who has health problems.
That Koala made me feel sympathy for the retail workers. Just like how terrified it is.
Ya know, if I had gone into med school straight outta college, I'd be on the front lines right now.
Mistakes into miracles. Dodged a bullet with that gap year.
Yup I work in a lab at a doctors office and my workload has ironically dropped since the outbreak. Shits pretty cash
apparently fuckin car washes are essential
I feel no sympathy for them. If I was a wagecuck I wouldve walked out that door and coughed on my former employer, minimum wage isnt worth that shit
Would somebody please think of the CEOs?
I'm sure they are feeling the hardships of this too, user.
Yup, back office quant. Haven't slept more than 4 hours/day ever since chongistan went on lockdown.
This image makes me feel bad for some reason, and don't normally feel this way easily.
Its just because of the fluffy koala, if it was an ugly negress or a bitchy stacy you wouldnt pay it anymind.
Essential at a medical supplier here.
>Outbreak starts and EVERYONE wants supplies, machines, tubing, oxygen
>Swamped for a week
>Quickly dies down to nothing
>Facilities are now too afraid to have anyone come visit them
>Maybe 3 orders a day and am now spending most of my time sitting around browsing
Yeah I guess, i need to suppress my feelings and emotions.
You should strike since you are the only essential workers you should be paid the brunt of the economy
>if they do it for banks and the stock market then they can do it for unemployment
iirc its basically because that money rarely leaves the financial markets so the inflation remains there and thats why theres an everything bubble. if they do it with the goyim basic necessities prices will shoot up eventually
.mil here, in AIT. We get to shitbag all day since classes are being held over, finna buy a Switch before post goes on lockdown
Essential user here too
Did the math for my state (NJ)
Outside of SS benefits and insurance, 401k and matching here is my napkin math with the extra $600 dollars per week in federal unemployment benefits.
Of course this assumes you commute to free for work too and have no expenses as part of your job....
Each job assumes full time 40 hour week
Minum wage ($10) earner in NJ would see a 110% increase in wages when unemployed.
At $15 an hour, a 60% increase
At $20 an hour a 30% increase
At $25 an hour a 20% increase
At $30 an hour a 9.4% increase
Finally at $33 an hour, you would see a 0.6% decrease in pay
...however NJ unemployment is not State Taxable (the federal $600 might be).
So it gets even more fucked.
You probably earn more unemployed than at $35 or even $38 an hour in this state
WHY THE FUCK CAN'T I BE FURLOUGHED!
>Getting people off this dole is going to be impossible when they see their checks
I'm considered essential but still not going into work (work at amazon). The virus is spreading in warehouse all over the US so fuck that.
Pay and benefits are not a function of how "important" your job is, but how much profit you can create for an employer and how easily you can be replaced.
You gotta pay that back though, do you not? That's how it works in my country - and I really can't see the U.S. being much different.
>work in a factory that makes soap
>has never been busier and bosses are going full nazi to up production
>just another day in the existential nightmare
man
me. pew pew
Pays and benefits are also based around how dangerous you work is you absolute retard.
Are niggas hoarding soap now? People are still buying years worth of TP every fucking day
Maybe you should read 1984. Then you'd understand what black white means.
Non-essential means non-expendable. Essential means non-essential expendable monkey man.
Of course you don't. You pay for it in advance when you pay your taxes. Shit, try telling millions of people that they have to pay back thousands of dollars to the government when they already pay these ridiculous taxes. They'd have an uprising on their hands, and in America, the citizens would win, hands down.
no worries, youll come out just when it mutates
>You gotta pay that back though, do you not? That's how it works in my country - and I really can't see the U.S. being much different.
Nope

Basically fuck current wagies, we have to keep getting in the cagies and hope we don't get coofies or forever sleepies for less money than former wagies.
If you quite you get no unemployment chicken nuggets, have to be let go
Agriculture here. No raise, no changes.
I went to the supermarket and the lady looked really flushed, like she was not getting enough air. Is that just the power of suggestion? I don't know the symptoms of corona apart from lack of air. I feel sorry for those who have to sill work with the public. Stay safe if you can bros.
Could you just be super incompetent and lazy at work to get laid off, and be eligible?
Niggas aren't hoarding anything. It's the white financially-secure boomers that are doing it all. You can actually find stuff if you go places where they are afraid to shop.
If you get fired you don't get unemployment (you can contest but they will just bring evidence as to why)
>janitor
Yup, essential. Basically security, custodial and maintenance are the only ones working on-site right now; since everyone else is gone, we can actually get things done besides cleaning toilets and windows all day.
I decided not to buy anything from amazon even if I really need it just because of this. I don't want you guys to be in danger.
Koalas are one of the dumbest animals on the planet, so this picture is an apt metaphor.
That's so gay. What about faking a medical condition? Like your back's killing you. Something that doctors can't disprove. That would be a layoff, right?
Everyone should read 1984. It's what shaped my worldview, and my politics. A great cautionary tale.
If my mom wasn't one of the people who would be most likely to die from corona, i'd use this opportunity to job hunt as normies leave their job in fear of corona.
I personally don't have any fear of corona, i'm a healthy guy.
My dad is. I'm worried about him since he's getting older and his immune system is getting weaker.
Although I am still stuck 40+ hours a week at my stocking job, at least I am not cooped up with some other clowns 24/7.
I do not either, but I am a little concerned with what is coming after it all. Guess it wont be short on entertainment though.
>being a wagie
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
> (You)
>You gotta pay that back though, do you not? That's how it works in my country - and I really can't see the U.S. being much different.
To show how much a joke this state is and how it practically isn't part of the United States of America (we are the East Coast mirror of CA but often worse)
Also if you are a Europoor (Britain is still in, right? delayed again?) you can get guns or accessories I can't.
I need a Firearms Purchase ID, by law was supposed to be done in 30 days (I need 2 character witnesses (non family, get fucked robots), private fingerprinting, background check) but a State judge overruled it. Mine took almost 90 days.
You also need to do the same for each handgun license (except getting a fingerprint again)and are limited to buying one every 30 days (licenses are only good for 90 days).
10 round limit on semi automatic (including fixed magazine). Supressors are illegal.
Evil features on a semi rfile
Folding or telescoping stock
Pistol Grip
Bayonet Mount
Grenade Launcher (grenades are of course illegal though (so flare really))
Pick one of those to have if you have a detachable magazine (and it better be 10 or under rounds)
Semi Pistol Evil Features
Magazine attaches to pistol outside of pistol grip
threaded barrel
shroud that encircles the barrel allowing you to hold the gun with a non trigger hand and not be burned
weight over 50 ounces unloaded
is a version of an automatic gun
Pick one if it has a detachable magazine
Semi auto shotgun***
folding or telescoping stock
pistol grip
detachable magazine
capacity over 5 rounds
Pick NONE
Also you can apply for a concealed carry permit. You will NEVER get one. They are for judges and politicians or their friends only, as the judges have say over it. If you need one for your job (say ATM guard) you will get a provisional one (can only carry on the job). You have a 100x better chance of getting one in San Francisco than in NJ.
You wouldn't be laid off it would be a disability "retirement". You would get disability from the state / federal government (social security disability) but then couldn't work and it would be no where close to what you would get from being laid off. It also takes forever to get SSDI (at least from what I have heard from the NEETs here) and you basically need to lawyer up and be ready to get rejected at least once.
You might also get charged with fraud (if white) when you start working at another job if any bit labor intensive or they find you doing other stuff like exercising outside / helping a friend move.
here is more of how retarded our state is
Of course we can't trust our citizens with guns we don't even trust them with gas pumps
nj.com
Only state licensed and trained individuals can pump gas. It is illegal for "citizens" to pump their own.
nj.com
Nah we won't call on you to wear masks or even advise it (2nd most coronavirus infections in the country)
nj.com
We gave you the chance to donate it, now we are just going to take it.
No wonder we are often called the People's Republic of NJ
yes sheeple corona is very dangerous
dont worry about our ever expanding china-esque authoritarian surveillance state
dont worry about your ever shrinking individual freedom
dont worry about this artifically engineered economic depression which will leave 40% of you unemployed and destitute
IT'S FOR YOUR SAFETY
keeping you isolated and afraid of each other, dont talk to each other, dont organize any resistance to our power grab
and dont forget to watch the news everyday all day
Wow, what a shithole. I saw a video about this guy trying to get his cc in Cali, and it was similar. He just kept getting the runaround for years, and the detective was always conveniently out of office when he wanted to talk about it. Also, people that the mayor knew were getting their cc ahead of him.
>tfw Arkansas, and I can just go buy guns with my cc
I'm still restricted by those gay-ass fed regulations though.
>>tfw Arkansas, and I can just go buy guns with my cc
>I'm still restricted by those gay-ass fed regulations though.
Forgot about the other great loophole that even Europoors often get to enjoy.
Old or reproduction guns aren't considered guns.
In NJ they are though
Imagine being a retired teacher interested in history. You buy a 220 year old boxlock pistol in another state. You are on your way back and get pulled over and arrested for illegally buying a gun and concealed carry.
They also take the gun to perform"ballistic fingerprinting"
Note: You didn't have powder, lead ball ammo, or even a flint for the gun in the car.

Was pardoned but was going to face over 10 years in jail...
Yep, this whole world is corrupt to the core. I wish it would all burn down already. Every time I talk to someone irl about this stuff, they just go "Ya gotta have laws! With all that freedom, we'd become a barbaric society!", when I've never suggested complete anarchy, and it used to be that way and everything was fine. People are sheep. Unless something drastic and in their face happens, they'll never give a fuck.
>the new unemployment applies to those who quit their job as a direct result of COVID-19
anyone know what direct result means?
I wish normies would actually tip good instead of just wishing me good luck!
>temp pizza delivery job
funny how when surplus money goes out the window people start to not be so "nice", eh? Almost as if no one wants to tip and are just afraid you'll spit in their food, etc.
Knowing how things go with the government, it probably means that you'll have to convince a judge that it was because of a direct result. Uncle Sam hates to lay everything out in a clear fashion.
Me. I'm in the air force and work on the flight line so I'm essential personnel
do you think it would count if I live with my mother who is older and has several diseases that make her immunocompromised? I don't want to go back to work and get her sick. My job is closed now, but I'm afraid they're going to try to find some way to open up early
I'm a grocery store cashier. I wish I could get neetbux instead...
