still get to work 10-12 hours a day even though I'm locked on base
Take care, lad. We're really finding out who's important and who isn't, problem is that remote workers are now extra smug in their superiority of being essential but getting to do so from home.
>9.44 an hour
LOL if you're lucky
Yup sadly I am cucked to being an essential worker at amazon. Threw up a lot today and told I had to be sent home without pay and don't qualify for healthcare benefits or sick leave yet.
Seriously considering quitting and applying for unemployment, would they accept it? I am in Indiana..
Unemployment isn't going to be able to pay-out to everybody.
The requests doubled this week up to 6,600,000.
>Seriously considering quitting and applying for unemployment, would they accept it? I am in Indiana..
this is what I'm wondering too. It says in the bill
>applies to those who quit their job as a direct result of COVID-19
does that mean it only applies if you got sick and quit or you quit because you didn't want to get sick?
>Unemployment isn't going to be able to pay-out to everybody.
why not? just add more money or something. if they do it for banks and the stock market then they can do it for unemployment
Money is only printed for important people, sorry
I deliver expensive pizza to an upper-middle class city with a high amount of corona infections (growing, of course). I don't see how cinnamon sticks and $20 pizzas are essential. Thinking of going AWOL and entering NEETdom for a little while.
It's funny, though, as so many "non-essentials" get unemployment as they stay home. I won't get that if I quit or say I'm sick. I'm not even that worried about getting coronavirus, but giving it to my dad (who I live with due to being broke) who has health problems.
