No, it wouldn't, because the portal moving was what made the box appear to move. The box was never actually moving. Looking through the portal is more like looking at tv screen, where the other portal is the camera. If you were to drop a camera on an object, it would look like the object is rushing to you on the tv.

It is B. The cube is going through the portal at the speed of the piston. Therefore the cube that has passed through the portal is traveling at the same speed as the piston. So when it has passed all the way through, it continues to have the same momentum.

I could see the case for b since relative to the portal the box is moving. If you define the portal as your reference point this must be true. However due to the current non existence of portals it's not really a problem we can solve. Is it even an accurate premise that a portal could move and accelerate? It's a moot point.
