Steins; Gate, because I liked the premise, loved the slow buildup, good character development, and I'm a sucker for love stories, but don't usually like to watch stuff that are only love stories. Also has my favorite OP of all time.

Evangelion because it teached me a lot about myself, and it has themes of loneliness, and desire which are relatable. I really like the duality between Rei, and Asuka and how they all play a role into Shinji's psyche
Also mecha and religious symbolism is cool

Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, because it has a good story, deals with interesting topics and the characters are likeable, especially Batou. It doesnt have the cringe shit much other series have, it feels like a normal show that happens to be in anime style.
I tried watching alot of anime but this is one of few shows I actually enjoyed.

Berserk 1997. Despite low-budget character drawings popping here and there, it's aesthetic as fuck. Plus, it has killer soundtrack, Guts' theme being my top favorite.
