Get another fag with you in the podcast and use a platform that has noise cancellation (like discord) OR use Audacity to clean up your recording and remove the background noise/hiss. There's some comfyness potential here.

Still working on my book. It's a crime novel. The pros make it look so easy. My prose is stilted as hell. I don't even think I could call it "prose." I just want to write entertaining crime yarns, but they should at least be decent.

What the pros don't always say is that it can take months or years worth of several tries and rewrites to publish their books, so you can work on it as long as you need to. This is a rap song I made last year, it's really a struggle for me to write a song for a while, so when I manage to actually create something at all much less when it's this good I'm glad. I've run out of things to talk about lol, and when I do manage to rap anything it ends up being really warped and sick in a weird way I can't quite explain, you'll see when you hear it. Still surprises me how good it is when I haven't heard it in a while and hear it again.
This sounds a lot like a beat I'd make lol, I actually made an ambient track beat if you want to hear it it's called haven on my soundcloud. What DAW are you using?

This is amazing man, reminds me of plini kind of, a lot more epic in a way though.
One thing I think this piece could benefit from is a switch from third to first person. From what I can see, the story will revolve mostly around Catalina, so the descriptions of the people and things around her could reflect her own mindset more strongly. There's also the whole fact that a lot of crime novels are narrated in first person. I think one reason this is done is because readers can try to put clues together along with the narrator as they close in on the final suspect(s) or the motive, or whatever is trying to be solved. Your username can be something simple. Maybe just mash together 5-10 random keys on the keyboard, add some vowels and consonants so that it makes sense phonetically. You could also make it a play on your real name. Or just some words that describe the kind of content you create. You could also use the Wu Tang rap name generator.
