Unironically in Japan

Ask someone who teaches English at a Japanese countryside high school, anything.

What does those yellow skinned spooks sound like when trying to speak engrish?

how many of your students have you fucked user-sensei

Did anyone kill them selves in your class

Is it true you can live in the countryside for ever if you let a Japanese family adopt you in exchange of farm work?

How old were you when you started learning Japanese?

have you already become the average japanese teacher who grooms his girl students?

why did you fuck a chink and betray the white race? are you proud of your treachery? of abandoning your heritage?

I've gotten so used to how bad it is that it's hard for me to evaluate objectively. In classrooms and oral exam settings it's truly fucking awful 80% of the time, but the moment you take them out of that context their English is a lot better. Not fluent but a lot less sullen, mumbly, katanakan-y, and reluctant.

0, but I did meet up with some third-years sometime after they graduated. It felt so weird that I don't think I'd do it again. We had a decent time, though.

Chinks are chinese, newfag

What's life like in rural nippon?

eat shit mutt, you threw away your people for a pussy

japanese chinese koreans they all the same
fag

question
whats ur body count from japan alone
whats the pay
do you exclusively speak English or did you have to learn Japanese (already assuming u did but would like a genuine answer from someone)

Attached: 1515945050695.jpg (866x866, 54.6K)

No. But fun fact, my school is armed with a "sasumata," this kind of pitchfork for pinning school attackers if there ever is one. It's common in schools. I know fellow teachers who have students that've committed suicide but it hasn't happened at my school.

I can count the number of cute students here probably on two hands. But I would not anyways.

Yes

Can an autismo like me make it in Japan

Of course. Land of the Autist. Former alpha warriors turned overly-polite alcoholic office employees who don't caress their children enough.

Forgot to re-add my name but all previous posts have been mine
I'm sorry, but I don't know.

I love it. I live close to a market so I don't need to go out far to get necessities.Sucks that a lot of neighbors have rice paddies, which means more mosquitoes in summer. Get to buy fresh produce really cheaply a lot. Hard to go out to the city because my last train back is so early.

24. Made N4 after a year of self-study.

Only two, a long-term gf and then another girl after that. I get paid about 3 million yen a year which is about 30k USD. Officially, I only need to exclusively speak English but learning Japanese is obviously very helpful for everything.

You ever been to any cool museums? You ever seen the last remaining Ki-84, or one of Mutsu's original 410mm cannons?

how qualified are you to teach english? like, what qualifications did you need?

Probably, as long as you can trick interviewers for your English teaching job that you're normal

I have, but I'm not a /k/ nerd sorry to say. I generally like art and historical museums. My favorite one was the SCMAGLEV Museum in Nagoya, all about trains from the steam era till bullet trains today. Full size cars you could enter and look around in, and simulators to pretend to be a train conductor. The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living was also cool; a miniature walk-around replica of Edo period Japan.

How many times do you accidentally see up skirts. What is the country life like.
Do you play pakinco at the local yakuska Arcade?
Tips to improving my shitty nihon go?

Not at all. All you need is a bachelor's in anything and be a native English speaker.

dang, that's based. maybe in a year or two when i'm not such a life fuck up i'll pick a country over there and go for it

user-sensei, what do you know about teaching Spanish in Nippon? Could I land a job there? I am completely bi lingual as well, and although I haven't taken the JLPT I could get the N4 or even the N3 if I pick it up again, since I too studied it by myself for over a year and got pretty decent at it.

what are japanese hillbillies like?

Have you suduced a married sexless housewife yet?

If you mean of the students, they are always wearing their PE shorts underneath. I don't think I've ever seen a glimpse of panties in public.

I answered country life above somewhere, and no I have never tried pachinko. Read a lot, and not manga. Read books.

>hard to go to city, early train,
Just get a overnight hotel.
Or better just pull an all nighter ending with endless beer at a karaoke room and take the morning train back.

The problem I have with reading is there is always too much kanji I dont know yet. How do you look up kanji you dont know?

Can I be functionally literate using only hiragana? I have a fucked memory and I feel 48 symbols is about all I can memorize.

How do you feel about your life? Are you content with your current situation? Do you have hope and optimism for the future?
What are your thoughts on society, as a concept?
What are your thoughts on society, as a reality?
What are your thoughts on morality, as a concept?

How's the cost of living in Japan? What does 30k USD per year get you?

Good luck user. Try Interac or AEON

Come to think of it, I haven't even heard of foreign language classes being offered at a high school, even international ones. You're best off becoming an English teacher to get in here, private tutoring in Spanish, and improving your Japanese to perhaps get a gig at a university. I don't think you'd need to be fluent, I know a woman who works at a university teaching/assisting in some capacity but speaks no Jap

Well there's a dearth of hot women I'll tell you that. I forget how qt Japanese girls can be until I come to the city. Women dress a lot more conservatively, usually baggy pants (though still fashionable) and never showing skin. Most of the dudes are older, they're dirty and wear jumpsuits of their jobs or are in farmer getup like straw hats and jumpsuits. People in their 20s are fairly uncommon or they're couples with kids. The only activities are going to shitty malls or local bars/restaurants and yakking with the locals. For the kids they have nothing to do except go out to the nearest slightly less small town and practicing sports at their schools daily.

No :(

Yeah, I have done that before but since I have to every time I desire to stay out past 10 it's not often.

>The only activities are going to shitty malls or local bars/restaurants and yakking with the locals. For the kids they have nothing to do except go out to the nearest slightly less small town and practicing sports at their schools daily.
ugh, sounds like my shithole suburb.

If you get one of those readers that are specifically for learners of Japanese, then every kanji will have its furigana on top. If you were reading a book that doesn't have that, then it's incredibly tedious but the only way you could look up kanji is to write it out on the Google Translate app (which as a handwriting feature) to get the translation or kanji to copy-paste into another dictionary app like Jisho. I would recommend learning stroke order to make Google Translate able to read your strokes more accurately. And just keep doing Anki so you can eventually just skip that mess entirely.

Pretty much impossible, sorry user

I am stagnating here, but I came here to escape real life and it's going great in that regard. I like Japan and its society very much, they are based in how resistant to outside change they are. I am fairly pessimistic about Japan's future but I don't think it will change significantly in my lifetime. But the outside world will continually pressure Japan to change and be like them, and Japan will eventually have to give in, slowly ending the country as we know it. I admire the sacrifice of the self for the greater good because it leads to a more peaceful society, but at the same time at great cost because most everyone here is a shallow shell that offs themselves every so often. As for morality I couldn't tell you user, but I think a lot of it is relative.

My rent is subsidized by the school so I only pay $100 a month for my 3-bedroom 60-year-old apartment in the countryside. Groceries are definitely more expensive than in the West, most fruit being individually $1 each as one example.

Oh right, the Google Translate app also has a camera feature so you could take a picture of a page for it to put the kanji into a copy-pastable form as well.

How's the countryside? I hate cities, so if I ever did the thing I'd want to go rural. I've heard they actually need people to go rural too, but the people might not be as "accepting" of a filthy gaijin as the cityfolk.

I haven't noticed a significant difference between the attitudes of in rural vs urban. If anything, rural people are even friendlier
>it's fucking Takamatsu again at 7am, giving me a bag of onions

I have bachelors and a U.K. teaching qualification in teaching physics. I am 25. Would I be in a good position to apply?

Interesting. Is your teaching required to be entirely in English, or can you use Japanese to help them understand stuff? Is the staff pretty lax with you since you're not a standard teacher?

Yes, as long as you don't expect to teach physics.

It *should* be all English but I often use Japanese to help because it just makes everything easier. And yes, I can actually leave work on time instead of being obligated to stay until past sundown as most teachers here are

Are the women whores or pure? All the girls were westernized when I went to Tokyo so curious if it applies nationwide.

You cannot possibly categorize 100% of women into one or the other, but of the two types that date foreigners
>will have a one night stand with you, like a standard Western slut
>only wants a long term foreigner bf so you essentially must start thinking about marriage the moment you have sex

Are you now, or have you ever been, a weeb?

How do the kids at the high school act? Do they get kawaii crushes on each other or get into fights? Any cool kids or huge otaku nerds?

Does your high school have any cool clubs? Are you allowed to be a club sponser as a foreigner?

Is it likely for rural Jap chicks to be virgins among the latter category then? Though I'm guessing they're only dating foreigners out of desperation after getting pumped and dumped by countless men.

In high school I watched some anime, but not anymore. The last thing I ever watched was Evangelion about six years ago.

They're so well-behaved it's hard to believe. I have never had to raise my voice. Girls and boys pretty much NEVER mingle, especially not in class. You tell them to form groups and there will never be a mixed-sex one. It's like I'm in the 19th century; the only evidence I ever saw of a couple was a guy and girl who would always be seen talking 1-on-1 a few miles from school that I'd pass by on my way home every day. Of course high school kids get together here, but at least at school they're great at hiding it. No fights, and I haven't witnessed any bullying either. The baseball kids are the chads, or maybe volleyball. I have a few favorite students.

Since it's in the middle of nowhere, we only have the standards, but that also includes things like flower arrangement, tea ceremony, broadcasting, koto, judo, and kendo. I don't think I can be a sponsor but I am free to visit any club I want and participate if I'd like.

Most likely, yeah. And no, the general idea of foreigners is that they're pretty high-status, as well as perhaps being manlier/more assertive than Japanese men. It's a different taste but it's not something women resort to.

Can you go to hardoff and mail me a pack of bulk yugioh cards?

user I'm mexican how would I fair in Japan? Could I even consider getting a job over there?

Do you even lift faggot

Origqnally

Unironic question. What platforms did you use to find a job? I heard Japan will be implying a working holiday visa exchange thingy with the Netherlands (were I'm from) and I'd love to try it out and work there for a bit. I visited last year for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I heard that for teaching english you need be from an english-speaking country though so I'm not sure I'd be able to do that (even though I'd say my english is close to perfect), but if you'd have any advice whatsoever about how to find a job in Japan it'd be greatly appreciated!

is it true that the regular Nip looks more like some Mongolian horsewarrior than a Westerner?

Only if you send me something from the US

If you're light-skinned you'll be considered white. If you're brown then you're a brown foreigner. If you have a degree then yup you could also be where I am, standards are actually too low

No

I'm on the JET program, the only other programs I know are Interac and AEON; I think those don't have as stringent requirements re: English speaking

I guess some of them might? The real dark skinned Japanese you see every so often. Usually they're just legit tanned from the sun

I see. What do you think about the city girls? As promiscuous as Western ones or nah?

No. Japanese was never conquered by the mongoose, unlike China and Korea.

Tokyo here. How inaka are you? Is your prefecture looking at a delayed start for next month, or nah?

Likely more, but overall not as bad as the West.

I'm better than a train once an hour but I'm not on a JR stop, it's a private line. And so far everything is still going ahead as scheduled
