I think it may be WAY worse.
The communities are closed, so no one knows wtf happens inside of it, thus permitting the growth of disgusting communities and making it hard to find and dismantle them;
It's easier to discern teens/kids from others;
It allows kids;
People can send private messages;
People can keep contact with eachother;
It doesn't attract decent adults, landlocking kids with groomers, and no adult supervision.
