Walt has little man syndrome of sorts (not physically, but mentally). A lot of his actions have consequences that could've been avoided if he wasn't constantly insecure. He is very reactive, like when he kills Mike or tells the people in the store to leave "his" territory. He is not a natural alpha and has been treated like he didn't matter his whole life. He is a cuck though. He plays the role of kingpin to try to feel like he is an alpha but he is always pretending.

I agree that every man has it. I think Walter's problems are compounded by modern society. There's a lot of things that he just has to accept to just not rock the boat with his marriage or job. I think cancer allowed him to stop placing so much importance on his idea of what modern life should be. Once he did, he no longer felt as scared by consequence and felt a bit of a rush from how powerful he felt doing the activities that he would not have done without the cancer diagnosis.

Jesse honestly wasn't a good character. People hyped him up and he has his moments and is obviously necessary to the plot but I just didn't connect to him. I felt like they kept doing random things, he didn't seem like he had a real character towards the middle and end.
