I am a journalism student trying to understand what makes places like Yas Forums tick, with the goal of writing a report on lesser known internet culture on various imageboards and forums. As fitness is a hobby of mine, I decided here would be a good place to start.
So, in your own words, and in less than 500 words, could you condense down and explain to me the essence of Yas Forums?

fit is just incels and spiteful people who hate women and people more successful than them, they are genuinely trying to better themselves but often use fit as a place to vent out their frustration, I myself am an incel and when I get frustrated by this I look for posts about people in healthy relationships and bash them for it, then I go to different posts and be completely based like I am attempting to now. there are many subcultures on fit varying in degrees of degeneracy, the bottom of the barrel mainly consisting of "coomposters" and "BBC spammers", these people sexualize everything and turn fit into a psuedo porn board. the next rank would be the defeatists and fatsos, who post about how they can't workout now that the gym is gone due to covid and how they just "can't stop masturbating and eating" the relatively normal and respectable people you can find on more positive threads such as "cbt" (not cock and ball torture) threads, self improvement threads, and so on, these people try to start insightful conversations about good topics but are often shut down by the coomposters and defeatists, the main reason I come back to this thread is for the toxicity, it almost gives you whiplash how much of a contrast this place is between positive and negative, only here can you ask about a serious health question and have someone answer you truthfully while also calling you a retard and a kike.

Yas Forums is the online gym locker room. Shit talking is common, joking is the name of the game, and people gather in cliques.
