Usually calisthenics takes longer
kinda feeling this, doing pushups with proper form gave me doms. I guess i was just stagnating with weights in the gym
Few weeks ago while there was no curfew and shit I started doing pull ups in a local park and I literally felt immediately stronger after a few days. But I don't know man, all the guys I saw that do calisthenics have pussy ass shoulders
What is doms ?
coof
>doing pushups with proper form gave me doms
Maybe try lifting with better form next
What I do to your moms
Def gonna replace 80% of my accessories at the gym with bodyweight stuff once this shit ends.
it's because you dumbasses been doing the exact same shit for a year straight and your not given your body new stimulis except maybe a little more weight every other week
Delayed onset muscle soreness
>lifts actual weight (his fat ass)
>doing naturally compound lifts
>wonders why he's gaining a modicum of muscle
yeah lifting those 10lb dumbbells was a huge waste retard
WRONG
>made more gains in 2-3 weeks than 2 years of weight lifting
So basically, you've never made any gains?
how often should i change up my workout routine? i’ve been going to the gym for 6 months, is it time to make variation?
every set to maximize confusion
post body
>having the same routine two workouts in a row
ngmi
honestly keep it simple and every 3-6 months, do a month of low volume, high intensity. Will resensitise your muscles to volume.
so if you're normally doing around 15 sets of chest in the 8-20 rep range. In this month you'll be doing around 6-8 sets in the 4-8 rep range
To add to this, if you're only starting out this may not apply to you. For now being within your first 1 year, if what you're doing is working well (adding load/reps weekly) then just stick with it for a while.
If you did pushups for a year and then went and did bench press, you’d get DOMS from the bench press.
It doesn’t mean one is better than the other, it means you need to vary your routine.
You have to shock the body.
I've been doing farmers walks every day and feel so over trained I cant sleep and my hands are numb just holding my phone
the reason he gets doms is because you have to do a lot of reps on the pushups, which is more work, and depending on the fiber type ratios you have it could be better than doing a set of 5 or 8 reps on the bench for gains
No, the reason why is stated in the post you responded to.
Doing the same shit over and over for years, then switching to something else, will give you DOMS.
Kek. I've been spending lockdown doing OHPs and flys with 10lb dumbbells (in addition to a shitload of crunches).
Retard. I bench 3 plates and pushups gives doms if you usually don't do them and jack it out to failure. Because it is a new stimuli
This. It's the new form of stimulus you're getting.
It’s all sarcomere fiber it goes away just as fast
TICK TICK BOOM
chick walking in the back is hotter prove me wrong
Calisthenics is great. The same motions in the gym get so boring. Enthusiasm is lost and you don’t progress. Having fun consistently beats just being consistent
Based Hyde posters
Were you doing some retarded ppl? Your body is probably finally able to recover.
so do them weighted. i think the movment is more natural then pulling a bb off the floor
yeah, PPL and not enuff food
Yeah, you had a bad routine. You can actually continue growing even if you take a week off (or an easy/deload week) from your routine. Don't confuse the success of calisthenics for the results of lifting. You just need to manage your routine and recovery better when you lift and obviously eat more, then you'll grow better.
who the fuck is this cutie fucking hell
she puts her feet in drain water, her naked feet. dude. she's filthy.
Imagine watching her squat down and pee in the canal haha
There's only ONE (1) thing wrong with her and it's that she didn't ask me to drink the water from her feet.
imagine if she squatted over your're mouf and made you drink her pee haha
why do people post this webm
is there something i'm not noticing
i sent my gf a pic yesterday and said i looked more muscular. she said if i got a full gym setup, but ive only been doing bodyweight shit.
Fuck, me too! I thought i was going crazy!
17 days of eating clean and doing random bodyweight exercises twice a day and I look and feel better than I did at any point in the last, like, two years.
I can't believe I've been using gym equipment so wrong for so long lmao
Freiburg?
donauburg bruder
All it took was a literal fucking pandemic, huh?
Still, welcome home, fitness enthusiasts
If you do calisthenics with resistance bands, you'll get hella good gains.
Planche pushups with resistance bands -> full planche pushups
Pullups -> front lever rows with resistance badns -> full front lever rows.
Shit is wild.
i used to do calisthenics before gymming, feels good to be home desu
youtube.com
yeah it is, i found the video, no thanks to these cunts
>it means you need to vary your routine.
This is not correct. The rest of your post was though.
>Because it is a new stimuli
DING DING DING!
Post some clips of you doing them ;D
its hard to isolate muscles with calisthenics, so you build much more functional strength as you are developing all the smaller muscles that work in junction with the large ones
isolating exercises are only for the tip top muscle builders, and are mostly for aesthetics.
if you lift for functional strength, you will notice much more improvement.
would you rather have the ability to do 30 sit-ups in a row, or would you rather be able to lift a fucking atlas stone?
lol at faggots thinking they actually look noticeably different after just 2 - 3 weeks of training.
You're worse than complete newbies, you should know better.
imagine drinking that water right after it ran over her feet haha
Went from not even being close to almost having a 3 second front lever due to lock down. Also closing in on added full bodyweight pull-up. Just need to work on the core now
bro ME TOO
First intelligent post
A lot of calisthenic exercises utilize muscles you don't use that often in the more common weightlifting exercises. Technique and flexibility plays a big role as well.
