I'm on the 4rd day of my first fast, I did IF and OMAD in the past but with coffee and artificial sweeteners, I have to admit that Cole is right they do mess with you. I'm feeling great.
My original idea was to do 2 72s a week but now I'm wondering if I really need to eat at all.

Thanks man, Since I'm still lifting but just maintaining my strength I believe I will need a refeed at some point. I've got 20lbs of fat that need to go If I remember correctly Cole recommended 72s for that amount but never said that you shouldn't do a prolonged fast either if you are up for it so I'll go by feeling.

It´s my first ever cut and I'm trying to go for a protein heavy intermittent fast where I only eat from 4pm to 10pm. In that six hour window, I try to eat as much as I can.

Questions:

- Am I allowed to drink water protein shakes when fasting?
- Should I work out before, during or after my eating period?
- are supplements like oils and tablets allowed outside of feeding time?

If you're "only" 20 lbs overweight I wouldn't do more than a 72 a week, since it's not that much.
It's all personal preference though, if you feel good you could do 7 days. Going by feeling is always the correct approach to fasting. Always.

It could be my last though, I'm considering moving on to 5 days with a weekend break if I make it to 100kg with this one.

Maybe, I don't know. But I don't wanna bother with that, the refeeding and fasting again, getting used to it just to start over, it's just too tiring.
Besides, I like keeping track of my weight and I wouldn't be able to get any good measurements with all the water weight coming on and off every 72 hours.

was binging hard on dominos pizza, went up 10lbs to 175lbs (~79.4kg) did a couple fasts, back down now. :) was scary how quickly the scales skyrockets. I will NOT become another stat. I will be the 3% that succeed. It has been a year and im doing great!

Ight guys I work a physical job, diesel mechanic, both mentally and physically exhausting most days, one or the other if not both on any given day. I can't function properly and do the job while fasted or in a caloric deficit. Any advice? I used to have no problem doing full blown fasts when I took a year off from work.

Sounds fine; I myself would do the 16:8 and then try a 24 hour first first, just so you know what you're getting yourself into and its a goal that is attainable and you wont feel like a failure if you give up halfway through.

Stay hydrated, coffee is a great appetite suppressant, and make sure you drink something akin to snake juice to get your salts in balance. If your muscles start cramping up at any point, its because you probably have a lack of salts.

My biggest tip is to break your fast with something super-lite like a small calorie salad. If you break your fast with something lite, your hunger gradually comes back and you can easily swing back into 16:8.

If you break your fast with something high-calorie or a big meal, your hunger comes in like a fucking wrecking ball and you will end up binging and eating well over your calorie limit.

It sounds paradoxical, but its been the experience for most people fasting I talk to (and for me as well; I always broke my fasts with a big meal; makes sense, right? But then I'd be ravenous and want to eat more. Now I always eat like a 3-400 calorie salad, most of the calories from olives/almonds/olive oil, and I'm never hungry afterwards.)

The bag of Epsom salts I bought doesn't have any nutrient facts anywhere on it, which leads me to believe that if there are inedible Epsom salts that this might be one.
