/fat/ accomplishment edition

>Who is /fat/ for?
For infinifats who want to better themselves through meaningful hard-work, strategy, and dedication.
This is not QTDDTOT, stick to questions on fat loss

>What do I do first?
1. Read the Yas Forums sticky
liamrosen.com/fitness.html
2. Calculate your Body Fat Percentage
fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy
3. Calculate your BMI
nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm
4. Calculate your TDEE
sailrabbit.com/bmr/ (complex)
fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html (simple)
5. Plan your weight loss week by week
losertown.org/eats/cal.php
6. Track your calories and macros with MyFitnessPal or Cronometer. Don't listen to memes, either of these are fine based on what you need
myfitnesspal.com (better for packaged food)
cronometer.com (better for generic food/tracking micronutrients)

>Now what do I do?
Count calories, all of them.
Calculate your TDEE at sedentary
Buy scales, be accurate in your measurements
Learn how to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal body weight.
Do cardio. Even if its just walking, cardio will improve your health which is sorely needed. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can off set the risks.
Lift weights. This will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat. You don't want this.
Post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice

>DON'T
Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count
Eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible
Drink your calories. Alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it.
Freak out over a stall in weight loss. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself.
Be a retard.

what is the latest accomplishment in your weightloss journey that made you feel good and proud of yourself? It doesn't matter if it's something small as refusing to binge one day or a work colleague/family member's offer for "just one donut, it won't hurt". For me it was finally being under 80 kg for the first time in my life since I was in elementary school. 5 more kg to go and the journey is complete, 70 kg lost

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH WHY DO CARBS TASTE SO GOOD FUCK YOU FUCK YOU

Attached: 1573889851655.png (590x644, 393.94K)

because they are good for you and the body benefits from consuming them.

just don't over eat
the body doesn't know you have a supermarket stocked with a lifetime's supply of food in it.. it'll eat because that's what it's made to do, learn discipline.

125 to 117kgs. It's been a month. I'm so fucking hungry and miserable. I miss eating anything I want but at the same time hate the fact that I'm 24 and have never been hugged nor kissed nor made love.

Damn, godspeed user

Damn, godspeed user

Just gobbled down a full pizza. Atleast 1600 cal. First pizza since last year and it was fucking delicious. Probably not gonna eat anything for the rest of the day.

I got to 110lbs lost. 5'8" 150lbs now, probably going to try for 5-10lbs more before finally stopping. Can't believe it has almost been 2 years since I've started.

Carbs are fine, the problem is that you're addicted to them and your insulin is fucked. For many people, this is why low carb diets work. They reverse damage that you've done to yourself by not eating a balanced diet in the first place. As part of a balanced diet, especially for an active person that needs glycogen (for example, for lifting or running), carbs are necessary. The problem comes with overconsumption and underutilization. When you're eating 600g of carbs daily in a 4000kcal/day diet while maintaining a sedentary lifestyle, you're going to have problems, guaranteed.

A 1600kcal OMAD once in a while is fine honestly, as long as you don't make eating shit food a habit. 3/4 of my journey was 1500kcal OMAD daily, and at my biggest I was losing 2.5lbs/week a doing that.

Posted a selfie on my Instagram for the first time in a while, got comments from frens telling me I look thinner.
also family is having meat and fries in the kitchen right now, and I'm continuing my fast for another 3 hours.
Small victories fellas. We're all gonna make it.

Can I drop Keto 16/8 for just counting CICO OMAD?

Was thinking 1600-1800 calories a day with
an hour or 2 of excercise 5 days a week.

119kg 184cm. Started at 143kg

Tell me what you think, need a second opinion.

See on whether you should limit carbs or not. Chances are if you're that big, your blood sugar is not good and you would benefit from a low carb diet. You will lose weight on CICO regardless, but your hormones are likely working against you right now because of the state you got yourself into.

6 more kilos fit after losing 24. How do I do it? I've been stalling and my discipline isn't as good. I've pushed through two other stall points usually after 10 kilos

7 more kilograms to go, then I'm going to hit the gym after the kung flu goes away.

>plateau broke this morning

Attached: 1474677545182.jpg (415x538, 30.24K)

yeah if you don't like keto go for it, my first weightloss journey that I fucked up was done like that both in calories and exercise and I lost 40 kg in less than a year. The fuckup was stress and drinking related.

I'm doing OMAD and it feels very good, I enjoy having a good lunch and not binging at night and bloating myself. Let's see how much I've lost after ten days.

>2.5lb a week
>10lbs a month
that's just 4.5 kilos a month. I'm a turbo hambeast who could stand to drop 55 kilos, I guess I'm gonna add fasting to my OMAD.

Do not lose more than 1% body weight per week. It'll make any problems you have with loose skin worse. Trust me, I lost it fairly slow and I still have a bunch of loose skin to deal with, but at least it's not so bad that it sags.

>was doing fucking amazing
>Incredible progress
>Just completely stopped for an entire month
>Freaking out trying to break the plateau
>Pants still keep getting more loose, notably
Uh
Uhhh

You're developing good habits compared to how you used to eat, even if you're not being strict.

I'm following a 1,500 calorie diet. I went from 229 to 219 lbs so far. I initially ate clean but then started eating frozen meals and garbage food and was still losing the weight - only calories matter.

Who knows how long this Chinese virus pandemic will be around? During this quarantine I will continue to not binge and fuck up my diet, and for myself will make something good come of this. As much as I like binging on chips I prefer to see weight loss on the scale in the morning.

You get loose skin if you are/were too fat. The pace does not matter.

yesterday I OHP'd a 22 kg dumbbell with one hand for the first time in my life and while on a calorie deficit

fell off the wagon hard bros ate shitty junk food for a whole week coming off losing my job cause of corona-chan.
Cleaned things up today and back on track but boy have i bloated it up a lot. hating the gains ive lost bingeing for a week

Now that's cope, lots of fasters dropped lots of weight real fast and didn't end up with loose skin all over.

I slept all day yesterday ...
Because i trained from the moment i woke up until i passed out the day before yesterday

Which would be more accurate for bf%, the US Navy link or an inbody?

Hello fellow one meal a day(OMAD) chad
I want you guys...
To keep up the hard work!

Strong cunt.

you are your own worst enemy god damn

stop buying chips user
STOP SNACKING PERIOD

I've tried recording my stuff like that, it'd look pretty similar. But I always end up just not even writing it down once I've binged.

What bf% is 25-27 bmi? Is it closer to 30% than to 20%? average dude without huge muscles

Started at 310lbs, sitting at 195 right now, wanting to lose another 25 or so. Have been eating like complete shit for a few weeks now, considering going on a 72h fast and just stocking up on healthier foods. Since all the gyms are closed been playing the shit out of some Beat Saber to burn extra calories.

>No gym
>Stuck in a city so cant go for a walk without getting mugged
I’ve been trying to diet but it’s so fucking hard, how do I not balloon back up bros?

scoobysworkshop.com/

Drop 32kg, feel good about it
Get into a relationship
Gain 5kg, feel awful about it

Want to drop another 23kg before I'm completely satisfied and with this lockdown bullshit, I have to really control my weak ass willpower and see what I can do besides going to the gym. Might buy some weights if there are any stores open atm

Attached: 1585281701202.png (1280x966, 2.93M)

I rub crushed up almonds on my skin to fight acne.

Fuck it feels amazing being 20kg lighter

how to get hands like that? mine aren't veiny enough

just watched an Alpham vid on it.
More carbs
Less subcu fat
more muscle
shave arms

I can motivate myself to lose 70lbs through diet but I can't motivate myself to do push ups in the morning or take cold showers.

Do full workouts and a cold shower afterwards. It's better to get some muscle than to become a skinny-fat idiot. 15-20min bodyweight meme shit is enough 3 times a week if you do those 15-20min properly.

I go to bed a little less full every night and the results are showing, week by week. I can go on like this forever. It's a shame I wasted years trying to lose the fat quickly, trying to force an unsustainable lifestyle for the hope of losing it all within a few months.

i had my gyno removed, shits pretty cool

Ree I'm hungry and I dare not order anything from Dominos until this flu shit is over

I've gone from 250 lbs to 185 since the summer, and I just wanted to thank you guys. I'm still working on going lower, but you guys have been the best damn fitness community anyone could ask for

I have lost 64.8 lbs since July.

I’m thinner than I was when my life took its worst turn 6 years ago.

I’m not unrecognizable yet. But soon, maybe by the end of summer if I keep this up, I will be.

I’ll be able to walk down the street and, if by some random happenstance I pass someone from that terrible time, they won’t recognize me. I’ll finally be totally free.

The other night I had a dream about that time in my life. I periodically get PTSD nightmares about it, but this one was different. In the dream, people were coming up to me and saying goodbye and crying. It’s really fucking weird and not logical at all to say, but it was like my nightmares themselves were telling me it was one of the last times I’d have them.

We’re all gonna make it brah

>ate high carb high salt food on Saturday
>drank lots of water
>weight shot up 5lbs
>stuck to my normal, homemade foods
>all the weight dropped
>even weigh a little less than I did before I ate the junk

Attached: 1568375995920.png (777x652, 464.99K)

You sure make it sound like you live a rich and mysterious life.

>9 pounds in 2 months

Attached: 1445220477628.jpg (500x313, 20.29K)

Weighted 150 kg the most, dropped down to 143 kg and was stuck there. Finally started keto, dropped to 130 kg before going back. Now I'm back to keto, third month in, I'm at 129.5 kg, hopefully this time I'll go all the way and drop below 100 kg.

Keto really helps when I just want to eat something and I can make myself fried cheese with bacon and that shit will still have less calories than whatever cereal with milk or chocolate bar I'd eat in the past.

AHHHH I CANT STOP OVEREATING BC STUCK INSIDE AHHHHH

>hit goal weight mid last year
>now 30lb heavier and none of it muscle

I found it really easy to lose 50lb last time why can't I FUCKING STOP EATING THIS TIME FUCK SAKKKE

Attached: IMG_20200328_222205_901.jpg (750x896, 101.17K)

More like pathetic and sad, though I’m sure that was sarcasm. But I’m working on it. I’m looking forward to being stronger and healthier.

>night cravings kicking in
>about to go to bed

it's another lay in bed for 3 hours before falling asleep episode, my favorite

Attached: 1563029613353.jpg (638x558, 63.57K)

You will make it. Fat loss, muscle gain, fitness, these things are directly under your control. Always remember that.

That's the thing I hate too. Eating before bed would be so nice, I'd go to bed with a full tummy and just fall into a stupor and fall asleep smoothly. It's real difficult to fall asleep on a lighter stomach.
