I've been running a lot recently and my feet have started hurting more and more each time I run. I tried switching shoes already but that didn't help at all. It's getting to the point where I don't want to run any more to avoid the pain.

Can anyone provide any input? Am I running incorrectly? I try to heel step, is that right?

run less

/thread

you haev cancer

I guess I'll try that.
I doubt that.

your toes don't look right

Be more specific.
Do your soles ache?
Cramping?
Toes don't look crowded so you're probably fine there.
Do you get blisters?
What's the problem?

How do you mean? Are they too short?
The inside of my arch gets really sore about half an hour after the run. I'm not sure if I just stepped incorrectly once and it just fucked me up or what.

The pain lasts for about an hour and slowly subsides.

No blisters.

Thanks for any help.

nigger

Try running less for a while, or at least divide your daily miles into a morning and an evening run. Once or twice a day for 5-10 minutes roll your feet around on a tennis ball to massage your fascii. They're probably weak from walking around in modern shoes. So just massage and ice them during this phase while they adapt to the work load. Some people take pills for the pain/inflammation but that's just a bandaid. In the long term, if the above routine doesn't help after a few months, you may have to resign yourself to just always run with arch support, whether it's a supportive shoe or a STIFF insert.

If the pain ever develops into something sharp or tingly, especially if its localized, STOP RUNNING for at least a week. Plantar fasciitis is not to be trifled with.

Vibram five finger kso...kso! and only kso, not the other gay ones for running...you’re welcome

>I try to heel step
You should land with your foot more or less flat. If you strike with your heel first, your forefoot slaps down hard like a whip. Don't do that. Try a short barefoot jog sometime and it will become immediately obvious that heel striking is unnatural.

How do you get rid of calusses under your toes

Been said already, but stop running if it hurts. Ride a bike for a week or two and try again. If you haven't run for a long time before starting, you should always start lightly

This is complete bullshit.

The heelstrike is what allowed humans to become the long distance runners they are. Back before shoes even existed.

>The heelstrike is what allowed humans to become the long distance runners they are
No it is sweating

Your feet look quite lickable.

get your feet off my fucking board

Post body, times, and sources.

Dumbass. At worst you should be landing flat footed but optimally you're supposed to land on the front of your foot with your heels never touching. It provides better force absorption for your skeletal system and takes advantage of the built in springiness of the human foot.

Problem is people have weak calves and feet because they got too used to heel strike first.

This is my plan. Thanks user.
Fuck off faggot
No

>heels never touching
Tell me how that feels after about a mile. We're talking about distance running, not the 200m dash.

false. the modern running shoe allows for heelstriking. go ahead and try to heelstrike for 10 miles on hardpack dirt vs landing on the balls of your feet
pro runners do this. its amazing hearing them run by. they make barely any noise because their forefeet aren't slapping against the ground

>Can anyone provide any input?
SS + GOMAD.
run less often

what were your intentions in posting your beautiful bare soles if not to make every user who saw them rock hard?

Plantar fasciitis. Invest in a good running shoe. Asics helped me. Wrap your foot with sports tape when u do run. Find a video on how. And lay off for a week first thing.

ok, i deleted the pic because i felt kind of bad for you. dont make this same mistake again

You people are literally deranged.

Hijacking this thread with a shin splints question. For Christmas I got some new running shoes (Brooks Glycerin) and since then I've had awful frontal shin pain when running. My old shoes are worn down Asics Gel Blur33. I have little to no shin pain running in them. Will the new shoes feel better over time or is this some gay overpronation problem?

OP here, they should break in. When i first started running i had bad shin splints. i just kept running, and they went away forever.

if it keeps getting worse though, i would go to a professional and get their opinion.

This and physiologypilled

I'm not sure man. I've run for years on those other shoes and only had mild shin pain. The new shoes it's unbearable and it's been 3 months.

i used to have shoes that were too big but i wore them anyway. they gave me the worst shin splints but i never realized it was just the shoes

Based men of culture

Personally, I would like to suck OPs toes while pulling myself off.

It would be quite the treat, quite the feet treat indeed.
