your hips are shooting up, try to anchor them by locking in your torso angle (pull more tension into the bar/your upper back when first setting the hips). from there try to "push" the bar up until it reaches your knees (think leg press)

Brought my bathroom scale today, but it maxes out at 150 kg: therefore the pressing stone weighs at least 55 kg (150 - 95 (bw)), no surprise. This one is much heavier though.

You're asking the wrong guy, I'm a little fatter than you.
The logical approach would be to cut as slowly as possible, but it's probably not smart if you can't train properly in quarantine.
I personally said fuck it and decided to do a suicide fast without any regards for muscle or strength loss since I won't be able to train anyway.

I only have 400 lbs in my garage, so I can't push all my lifts to their limit, especially deadlifts. I'm looking to do some bodybuilding work in the meantime. Can you guys recommend any bodybuilding stuff while still keeping strength up? Like, a real program. All I have is a rack, bench, barbell, ex curl bar, and 400lbs.

Your hips shoot up / you lose tightness. This is very evident on the third repetition. It's likely since your body isn't quite used to the intensity yet and does this. At some reps its worse than others. What do you yourself find weak?

That's some really good progress. Also physique wise, I'd keep the chest shaven. Also be kinda careful, you've done less these past 4 weeks due to corona shutdown, yet gained 1kg every one of those weeks. You're probably packing on too much useless fat atm due to lack of exercise.

Just keep hitting your triceps to grind out a bigger bench. Also 2:1 ratio tf have you been doing, squat 3-4x / week bench 1x a week (sometimes skip)?

It's fine, I just wanted to ruin your shitpost and wasn't sure what to post. I actually like the new trip.

I was limited by what I could find on the shelves on Home Depot. I BRIEFLY considered copper pipe. But I was unaware of how to make two ends of a concrete dumbbell and then stick them together with copper pipe. It was easy with PCV, I just had a few inches sticking out of each side while the concrete set, then glued them together with an S coupling in the middle.

dont use copper, itll bend. there shouldn't be a difference between sticking a metal pipe/rod or a pcv pipe into the concrete mixture. maybe bonding issues? dont know why you wouldn't be able to find some steel or iron piping/rods/stakes at home depot

I've always wanted to make concrete dumbbells but I always planned to use 2" steel. I figured it'd be like setting a fence post. Every time I've had a chance to swing around the chunk of concrete from an unearthed post I can't imagine the steel coming loose.

One end of the dumbbell is basically like that. The problem is, each end of the dumbbell resting on the ground while it sets. I guess, theoretically, one could pour one end of the dumbbell with the handle sticking out of it, wait for it to set, then pour the other end, and stick the handle bit that's sticking out of the first end into the second end. It SHOULD sit there while the other end sets.

I figured it was a LOT easier, and lacking any guessing on how long to make the damn handle, to pour each end with a few inches of pipe sticking out, then glue them together in the middle after they've set. I also glued a cap onto the end of each piece of PVC that I was sticking into the concrete, so there would be a small lip for the concrete to form around. I don't know if there was going to be any worry of the PVC slipping out, but there definitely isn't now.

how did you get your bench so good being 6'4"? I too am 6'4" but barely bench 300 lb.

I'm planning on setting one side with the whole handle in place then flipping it over and setting the other side. I think it shouldn't be too hard to prop the top up with some blocks on the edge of the whey tub I'll use as a mold. Nothing difficult about measuring the depth of the tub and the amount of handle you want exposed then adding it all up.

Please tell me you used schedule 40 PVC at least
