Brosplits are only good if you hit each muscle group twice a week. Muscle synthesis is elevated for 48 hours, if you only hit biceps once a week you're leaving 5 days of potential growth on the table

I tried Hitting Biceps 3 days after training them and I was sore as fuck,shit training.
I also tried 5 days after instead of 7 and I was ok.
I think it depends on the intensity you train.

the closer to failure and the more volume you do the higher the spike in MPS and the longer the rise in MPS lasts, furthermore we only have less than a handful of studies on the time course of myofibrillar muscle protein synthesis which is what we want, contractile muscle growth
just so happens that we don't really know for how long it really lasts, only that 1 set to failure of a quad exercise keeps the quads growing for less than 24h in resistance trained subjects, 3 sets maintains the growth for at least 29h.
