I'm gonna sound like a cringy elitist faggot but you unironically need to be pretty good at FPS to enjoy Doom Eternal. The extra mechanics, increased difficulty and extremely fast pace of combat makes it awkward if you can't keep up with all the things you need to keep track of while also being a good shot. I can see why people wouldn't like it, especially if using a controller.. Playing it through on Nightmare is way more exhilarating than any other FPS experience I've had.

I've done one of the purple Slayer dungeon thingsys on the 3th difficulty mode
and I just couldn't do it
I had to go down to the 2nd difficulty and now I feel like a lesser man..
I'm pretty fucking good in csgo and other shooters so I don't know why
I tried it probably 10 times before I made that dissision
and then could finish it on the first try after switching difficulty
